Beginning
I could feel her heartbeat picking up as she walked through the night."Please god, if you're listening don't let this be a terrible idea" she prayed under her
breath.without looking it was easy to tell she was nervous, the smell was oozing from her. I dropped from the tree I had carelesly fallen asleep in and without a sound I followed, curious to see what her little idea was. her footsteps slowed and I listened, the musical frantic heartbeat I had heard quickened. Her eyes sparkling with, what I guessed to be a mix of anticipation and excitement she stepped forward into the very heart of the town.
I looked around the dimly lit park, it was a surprising place and not one I would expect a proper young lady to go to. I wasn't the only one.
a dark figure grabbed her wrist, she turned and tried to pull herself away."excuse me sir!" her voice unsteady, peeped out "let go!"
A string in my heart pulled for the young girl, before I could move the man took a blade from his pocket and ended her...
I looked away from the horrible actions of humanity and guilt tripled as her ghost looked in horror at what was happening to her body."I-im dead?"
Her bottom lip trembled and she turned looking around, seeing me she closes in and I stand motionless....
"It's my first time to" is the only thing I
can even think to say.It didn't last long though as I had to explain what was happening here.
I was a reaper, sent to bring her safely to the other side.
A few hours went by as she listened intently. Finishing the story, Rules and options I make the mistake of looking into her bright blue eyes, so beautiful and clear, rimmed in long black eyelashes.
I'm held transfixed as she lightly touch my hand."I will make it easy for you, I will go without struggle if you promise to watch over my son, please he is all I have" she whispers.
Her voice cracking, eyes glistening with unshed tears.
"I will" I promise drowning in her beauty.
She starts to fade into the light and I'm soon alone again. Startled by my own actions.
"What the hell did I just agree too?"
