Liu Xiaodong was born in 1963 in Liaoning, in the small industrial village of Jincheng, china. He is a contemporary Chinese artist. He moved to Beijing at the age of 17 to study art at the Central Academy of Fine Arts. He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in oil painting in 1988 from CAFA as well as his Master of Fine Arts in oil Painting in 1995. From 1998 to 1999 he studied overseas at the Academy of Fine Arts at the Complutense University of Madrid in Spain. He later started working as a professor in the painting department at CAFA.

Xinyi Cheng was born 1989, Wuhan, China.She lives and works in Paris. She revived her B.A. in 2012 at the Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University, Beijing, and her M.F.A. From the Maryland Institute College of Art, Baltimore in 2014.
