"heyyy hurry up the gang is waiting for us at the canteen.", jeongin whined.
"alright i'm coming."
beomgyu took one more look at the neatly placed pink box and snatched it as he hurried to the door.
on the way, his cheeky friend seemed to take notice of the box in the brunette's hand, "what's that you've got?", jeongin's eye twinkled with curiosity.
"i'm gonna show you later"
the boy with braces hummed, "alright."

as the duo reached the cafeteria, they were greeted with the scene of students chattering and scurrying left and right.
beomgyu went to line up to get food after he told jeongin he'll be right back. the mullet's turn came, and his hands reached for the last strawberry milk carton until another hand reached for it at the same time.
beomgyu stared at the slender and somewhat feminine fingers as their hands brushed against each other. the brunette looked up and spotted taehyun for the second time today.
the cherry hair's gaze subtly flickered down beomgyu's other hand holding the box.
"you can have it.", the younger offered the milk carton as he went back to his seats.
beomgyu gawked at him quizzically as he made his way back to jeongin.

"over here!!", they heard kai shouted and waved his hands signaling them to come to the table.
while jeongin and beomgyu made their way over, jungwon greeted them.
sat at the table was the large friend group that beomgyu belonged to. five of them; beomgyu, jeongin, jisung, felix and seungmin had been friends since grade 7, with the addition of jake, yeonjun, sunghoon, jungwon, kai and sunoo joining them in grade 8.
"where's yeonjun?", jeongin noticed that the boy isn't here at the table.
seungmin smirked, "he's over there all up on his boyfriend's face."
the whole group chortled in laughter, catching the sight of yeonjun sitting with soobin in the other table.
beomgyu's eyes darted over to the other table, scanning to see a few people he was acquainted with. changbin, minho, chan (heard from jeongin), soobin, jay (sunghoon's enemy), a dude he didn't know, and..taehyun?!!?
they made eye contact until the redhead broke it.
everyone made an ooh and ahhh sound (jisung being the loudest) as the dude beomgyu didn't know stood up and walked over to their table. he went to hug jake from behind and pinched the black haired boy's cheek cuddly like he was a baby making jake blush shyly. jake shooed him back to his table.
"ew.. get a room.", jeongin pretended to gag as heeseung giggled and left.
beomgyu made a mental note, "oh so that must've been heeseung. cool. "
