Jisoo P.O.V
"Is it necessary to throw a reception party Mom?" My ears perked up when I heard the word party coming out of Taehyung's mouth. No, I ain't eavesdropping. It's just he is beside me so it's common for me to hear anything he says
"Alright." He groaned clearly not interested in parties and all. Whereas I am interested in all this. Party means good food and I'm so ready for it. "Mom wants to talk to you." He passed me the phone without even throwing a glance my way. Rude I tell you
"Hello." A sweet voice came from the other side. Oh she is definitely humble unlike *cough* someone *cough*
We talked for an hour and Taehyung was irritated as hell. He wasn't showing it but it was clear to me. "Here." I passed him his dear phone. "Put it on the table." I rolled my eyes at his behaviour. Such an unmannered kid he is
"What is your problem Taehyung? Why can't you talk to me like a simple human being? Why is it you always being rude to me and kind to others?" Taehyung stood up from the chair. Oh he wants to fight bring it on
"Stop talking for god's sake." He brings out the worst in me

I went towards the changing room to get my phone which I left there earlier but collided with a chest instead. I glanced up to find Taehyung looking down at me. He was wearing a stylish buttoned-up black shirt which was almost see-through but only when someone would come too close to him like I was right now
It was lining every part of his body. His collarbones were peeking out a little. The faint but addictive scent of cologne from him woke me up as I stood aside to give him space
At the same time, Taehyung eyes went toward me. I was wearing a burgundy silk gown which reached down my legs and it was impossible to say if I have wear my sandals or not but I know he knew because my height had a little difference. My hair was curled downwards. His eyes travelled down to my lips. Is my lipstick too dark? Shit I shouldn't have wore the bold red
"Were you checking me out?" We both said at the same time and scoffed, "I would never."

The wedding reception was a grand party. Everything was magnificent and it was looking more beautiful because of the delicate light mixed up with large hanging bulbs to achieve an enchanting look. It was so pretty that everyone was raving about it
I sipped my cocktail while enjoying the atmosphere around me. Suddenly a small boy of 5-6 years old bumped into me. I sat down to be at his level and held his tiny hands, "Hello." I said in a baby voice, "Where is your mo-" A gasp left my mouth when I saw it
I hurriedly rolled up the sleeve of the little boy's arm, "W-Who did this to you?" Before I could ask again, A beautiful woman around the age of 30s came to me, "I'm sorry if he troubled you"
"No, he didn't but-" The woman spoke again, "Excuse me but my mom is calling me."
I couldn't say anything else. A shiver ran down my body thinking about that small boy and what he had gone through. I wanted to tell or even ask someone about him and the first option was Taehyung, "Come with me." I took him away from the guests. He crossed his arm around his chest and raised his eyebrows, "What?" He reached down to my level as I whispered to him
"Do you know that boy there at the end of the corner with some woman?" His eyes travelled the whole place and stopped, "That is my mother's friend's daughter's son. Her husband divorced her recently and she took custody of their son. Even though he wanted that." He answered and stepped away from me but I fisted his shirt. He gave me a questioning look, "I want to tell you something."
He indicated me to speak up, "That kid...He has red marks on his arm like someone has grabbed him with all their might," Taehyung blinked several times, "You aren't kidding right?"
A sudden rush of disappointment surged through me. Does he think I would kid around about these serious things? "I would never joke about these things, Taehyung."
"Jisoo and Taehyung. Come and have dinner with us. It's your reception after all." Someone with a new face whom I didn't know pushed us together to sit at the big dining table. I saw the same kid and the woman sitting across from us. I nudged Taehyung who was looking at the same place where I was
"What is your name?" I asked the kid, "Hyun-woo." A voice came from beside him. I smiled in a forced manner, "I was asking him." His mom laughed with her whole body, "He doesn't talk much. Right baby?" She gripped his elbow in an iron-clad grip and from the face of the child it was clear that she was hurting him just to make him say or do the stuff she wanted him to
"STOP." I stood up at once. Every pair of eyes was looking at me now. Taehyung was startled by this. He was aware of what was going to come next, "I'm gonna take her from here. You can carry on." I was struggling to push him away. He took me inside our room, "Let me go and kill that bitch."
He took a deep breath, "Do you have any idea what you were going to do just now? Are you insane? If we confront this to everyone they will ask for proof and we have none." I scowled, "Those marks are more than enough to get her inside the jail."
"We both know that she had done this but how are we going to convince others? Think about this with a cool mind." I hate to say this but he does have a point right now. I cleared my throat, "So are you telling me that you are going to let her get away from all this?" Cocking his head towards me he replied
"Not a fucking chance"
