Blowing the steam from her coffee she hummed as she walked to Bruces lab for a quality check on the bio cells he had been making.

Only when she entered she saw Pepper Pots. She must have been doing something as well.

She held a clip boared as she checked something. "Well isn't this a surprise." Tony and Bruce were distracted at a desk.

Most likely tuning them out. "Not really it's my job."

Amelie replied as she sipped her coffee."That is?" Pepper asked."None of your concern." It was clear Amelie didn't want anything to do with her.

Neither did Pepper. Didn't stop the redhead from showing her entitlement.

"What is your purpose here anyway, sure you just a whore who mothers Farrah but what really is-" Thats what set her off.

Not the whore part, not the questioning, but the fact she mentioned her daughter.

Because she hadn't told her that. She hadn't said anything in front of her. Pepper's throat constricted making her gasp for air.

"You can insult me all you want but keep my daughters name out of your mouth."

She threatened. Peppers throat opened leaving her to storm off. "Look I didn't tell her well maybe it slipped-"

Amelie turned around. Her words lashed and lashed as she tore him a new one.

Bruce watched with a sigh before calling backup. Amelie didn't stop about to strangle him.

"The fact that, that red headed bitch was let near my child is me being tolerant!"

Her anger filled the air in waves. Her skin began to turn metal and her eyes glowed. That's when Steve Bucky and Wanda came in.

Her body visibly relaxed but it wasn't enough. Her anger clearly was bigger than that.

Hands made contact with her and she slowly calmed down. Only then did her real thoughts make it out of her head.

"If you don't get your fucking hands off me I'm going to wring his neck."

Hands came off her and she breathed out. "If my daughter is ever near that woman again I'll personally neuter you."

She spoke before walking out.

-

"Mama, can I stay winter break at dads?" She wanted to to her no. She wanted to give her some type of terrible excuse.

Terribly enough she wasn't bitter enough to do such a thing.

So instead she looked at her daughter with a bad smile the worst one she had ever given her."Of course."

If her daughter was any older she would have noticed how strained her voice was.

She would have noticed how her mother was crumbling over her fathers large wallet and appeal.

She would have noticed a lot of things. However she didn't.

"Can I start packing?" Her mother nodded, wishing she could bask in the ignorance of a less advanced child.

One that didn't have the comprehension of a twelve year old.

One that couldn't form proper words and give her questions she didn't want to answer. She wanted to have a moment of selfishness.

Instead she was a mother to a genius, so she simply had to take what she was given.

It was tiring having to fight against Tony, it was tiring having to fight for her independence that she could give up so easily.

A part of her wanted to succomb to Tony's advances and mind games.

That part of her that wanted so much and give so little. She buried it with her heart. Of course now she felt irrational.

He was changed different and she still loved him. He still loved her.

She loved him, she loved the people around him. She loved the idea of multiple support systems.

Then again, she hated not relying on herself. She hated not having control all the time.

She hated being vulnerable.
