"Goodbye Sinnoh"

Chapter One

Location: Twinleaf Town

I clutched my suitcase in my left hand as I waited for the time to leave and I also had to wait for my friend, Barry to leave his house..usually he would have to wait for me but this time was different.

since I was leaving Sinnoh to go to the Paldea region, Barry was quite upset and I understood that..after all we did spend most of out lives as neighbours and we even done out own pokemon journey together, he was a bit upset after losing to me for the chapion position but he was still proud it was me who was named champion

"Barry? Open the door I have to leave in a couple minutes!!" I said after knocking the door to his house twice and he quickly swung the door open and enveloped me in a tight hug

"Why are you even going to a stupid Paldea region anyway...and more importantly why are you just leaving everyone here behind" He said as he shoved his head onto my shoulder

"God Barry now your starting to sound like my mom...and I'm not even leaving you behind I offered you to come with me but you just wanted to stay and try get with the professors assistant" I said as I patted his back and he quickly lifted his head

"Do you think I have a chance with him though?!" He yelled while grabbing onto my shoulders with his hands and shaking me back and fourth until I said he had a chance

"Woah yeah I know right, since I'm so cool and-- wait your just trying to distract me from you leaving" He said in a super annoyed tone before he lifted his hands off my shoulders and they dropped to his side

"Yeah that's definitely what I was doing" I said sarcastically as I checked the time on my phone before he quickly grabbed it away from me and started doing something on it, "Hey hey what are you doing with my phone!"

"I just realised you don't have my super awesome number yet..somehow" he said then gave my phone back and I noticed his phone number was now in my phone..gotta delete that shit later

"Aaaanyway you should go now, don't wanna miss your super important flight to paldea do you AAANNDDD don't forget to call me or I  gonna have to fine you ¥100000" He said while pushing me backwards and slowly closing the door and waving me away

On the flight to paldea

I plugged in my headphones as I settled onto my seat and got ready to have a horrible attempt at sleeping while some loser kid kicked the back of my seat and random people fought over where their seats were located...ah the great airline second class experience

As I put on some music to listen to, someone getting on the flight caught my eye..it was some kid with red and blue hair who was sitting close to me on the flight and they were talking to someone on their phone, saying they just got on a flight to paldea after getting off a layover flight from galar to sinnoh

I ignored my curiosity surrounding the stranger and went back to listening to music and trying to ignore all the people who watched in flight movies without headphones

4:20 pm
Location: Naranja Academy

I trailed my suitcase behind me as I walked up to Naranja Acadmey, one of my mom's old friends works leader there and she said they would probably let me stay or give directions to a hotel

I opened the door to the school and saw some black haired girl in an orange uniform jumping around in excitement as the staff behind the main counter looked worried. Before I could even know what was going on, the black haired girl ran out of the school cheering

I walked up to the person standing at the counter, who was still bewildered from the girl that just ran out of the school, "Hey do you know where the Director of the Academy might be?" I asked and she politely nodded before giving me the directions to his office and I thanked them before leaving to go find the Directors office

I finally found the right room and knocked on the door before someone from inside told me to come in and I slowly pushed the door open to see a white haired old looking guy wearing a orange suit thing sitting in a chair in the farthest end of the room
"Excuse me are you the Director here?"

"Yes..and you are?" He said with a small polite smile on his face and I grew nervous as I remembered I'd have to introduce myself

"Uhm I'm y/n and I just kinda moved here and my mom said she was friends with you awhile ago and.....uhhh" I said awkwardly as all hell as he looked at me in silence for a second

"Hm is your mother, m/n (mom's name) ?" He asked and I nodded then he laughed a little bit "I should've known, you look just like her when she was your age" He said, still smiling

"I believe there may be an opening in the academy if your interested, Being a student here had great luxuries that you wouldn't get from most schools in other regions, All students get their own dorms and Excellent opportunities to excel their talents and increase their opportunities for later in life" He said...still smiling as he had been through the whole conversation

"Oh yeah that would be great actually, do I have to apply or take an entrance exam?" I asked and he quickly responded "no, we just have to do a background check and check some other things" He said and turned to his computer
"So what's your name?"
"Y/n L/n" I responded quickly and he began typing I to his computer then a look of shock appeared on his face

"So your the new champion in the Sinnoh region" He said looking shocked before returning to a calmer state and smiling again, "you know your mother was actually a champion here" He said and I nodded

"We don't usually accept students this quickly but with your great deeds in Sinnoh and your mothers history with the school I think it would be good to accept you know before you apply to any other academies So congratulations, Your now a student at Naranja Academy" He said proudly as he turned away from his computer to look at me again

"I'll get our student council president to show you to your dorm and we'll get a schedule for you as soon as possible"
