I walked into the ballroom. I was nervous. My heart beat at a thousand miles an hour. King Milleth always managed to make me feel this way. Something about him was always so ominous; so condescending. I took my strides. Slowly as I carried myself, I felt his forest-green orbs press against my neck. If he hadn't been so terrifying I might have found him attractive. As I walked past him I inspected his face admiring his jawbones. They looked as if they were cut by God himself. Unfortunately, my viewing was cut short because he noticed me. My inquisitive face was met by a scowl. Never mind, my previous thoughts were that he was just an arrogant boy placed on the throne.
Ugh. I walked over. You had told me to do something, but it had slipped my mind. Catherine's stupid brother had distracted me. Her stupidly hot brother. Honestly, why is it fair he was blessed with such good looks but is such a total prick? Nevertheless, I brushed the king out of my head. I had a job to do. I had to kill Catherine.
I shimmied along the banister. Trying to hide as best as possible. But that little shit Jason appeared. Where had he even come from?
Slowly I asked him (trying not to stutter), "Wh-what are you doing here?"
His reply showed no hesitation, "I could ask you the same thing."
Ugh, another tough guy. Why couldn't he just answer like a normal person? Did he have to use that line? Nonetheless, I answered nonchalantly, "I asked first, so please answer."
Taken aback (I don't know by what) his reply was either far too honest or a blatant lie. "I wasn't looking for you. I was looking for Catherine and happened to find you instead."
The answer was far too specific. I decided to play along. "Oh really. Are you sure you weren't looking for me?"
To my surprise (and honestly anyone else's) he kissed me. It wasn't unpleasant. It was unlike anything I had ever experienced. It wasn't soft and there was certainly no tongue. Instead, it was more like a hot and intense desert. His lips had slowly caressed mine. But it still pushed at such a force that couldn't help but raise the pace. We kissed again and again until his fingers became intertwined with my hair. It felt as if something more was gonna happen until Aaron came to fetch Jason for whatever it is nobles do. I'm grateful. Aaron snapped me back to my senses. I'm not here to be courted. I'm here on a mission. If this happens again You will certainly have my head (being the cruel heartless and deranged woman she is. She may even rip out my fingernails.)
