-nightmare shrank in size due to his energy going towards stabilizing his body functions and soul, so a lot of what gives him his immense size transfered, leaving him at a manageable size for Lena to drag him, constructing a pully to lower him in her cavern. She is a lonely child, and with that although she was nervous upon finding him, her SOUL wouldn't let her leave him out in the open, not to mention that she could feel something about him was off.-

Lena finds Nightmare injured after a fight and drags him to the cave where she resides.

She bandages him and does her best to mend his wounds and care for him when he wakes.

When he sees her he lashes out and pins her with his coils while hissing from stressing a wound.

After recollecting his thoughts he takes in the situation and his surroundings. He notices his bandages and the herbs and remedies lying nearby where he had lain. His scent in the cave was a few days meaning he had been there long enough to be killed if that was the intention. He looked at the quivering girl, noticing that she was at quite a young age.

After questioning if she was alone and finding out a little about her, he releases her from his coils although keeps a wary eye on her. She gestures to an injury and he looks to see that it had been re-opened. She holds up a roll of what looks to be more bandages and motions that they need to be changed. He let's her approach and wrap his injuries wincing occasionally even though he attempts to hide them.

At one point she had to reset a rib and he screeches before grabbing her with a hand roughly. He calms down and realizes he has the child in a tight hold. He releases her and rubs his neck before muttering and apology. Lena gives him a small smile and finishes bandaging him up.

Nightmare questions where they are and finds out that it is not far from base. He then realizes he's hungry and looks at the human. She recognizes the features as those of hunger and starts to get a bit nervous. She gets scared as he picks her up and brings her close, tounge flicking out and tasting the air. He notices how bad she is trembling and smirks a bit.

"Don't worry Snack, I'm not going to eat you." She gets a little confused but relaxes when he opens his hand palm up. "As much as I've enjoyed your hospitality, I have other places to be." He notices the wave of sadness that rolls across her expression.  He thinks a moment before continuing with, "You can come if you wish, I'm not carrying any luggage." Lena thinks for a minute. "I'll go with you." Nightmare hums in acknowledgment as he surveys the cave, placing her carefully on his shoulder.

The entrance located further up in a corner of the area, a ladder was rigged near the mouth where Lena exited. The cave is of decent size, although the diameter of the area leading to the entrance was quite narrow, but the opening was just wide enough for Nightmare to slip through. After making sure Lena was holding on he steadily made his way up, using his tail to support him and his arms to climb, careful to make sure he didn't tear any wounds. When he comes out he takes a deep breath despite the lack of lungs, slowly letting out air as he surveys the area, mapping the path in his mind. He looks to the side and Lena meets his gaze, a little excitement and awe in her expression as she watched him. He turned his skull forward and started to move in the direction of his base.

After a few hours of quiet traveling Nightmare needed to rest. Although they'd made great time despite Nightmare carrying a passenger on his shoulder, Nightmare had been still for quite a while in Lena's cave and his bones were a little stingy when it came to movement, meaning he would have to rest more often then normal.

They stopped at a river where they quenched their thirst and ate. Nightmare managed to catch a few fish for himself and Lena foraged a few servings of tree nuts and berries. Nightmare was quite ravenous as Lena could only feed him so much when he was unconscious, leaving him with quite an appetite.
