Neat shirt and tie? Check.

Good Wifi? Check.

Well groomed beard and hair? Check.

All that was left was to click join. 

"Good morning team!" The head cheerfully welcomed all to the meeting. "I would like to congratulate everyone on our recent success. This is a great achievement for the team as well as our company. Great effort has been put forth by all our branches, Chennai, Bangalore as well as Hyderabad and lets keep this rolling with the same enthusiasm!"

"So now lets focus on our next task. Sitaara from our Hyderabad branch will be sharing some words about the next project."

Ashwin quickly turned off his call cam to set his hair, again! "Dei ithoda 13th time set panra da, paathu mudi kotha kaiyla vanthara podu." His roommate exclaimed. "Pchh, porama pudichavane!" Ashwin retorted back.

"Ashwin Kumar can you please turn on your video, this is an important meeting.." A voice blared from his screen, making him realize that his video was still off.

"Sorry sir!" He smiled apologetically at the screen. "Okay, so let me start my report by congratulating every individual present here today! And I will be sharing our branch report on the topic.." A sweet voice took over for the next 45 minutes. 

 "Dei, poi poi Hyderabad branch la irruka ponnu melaya crush? Avan avan oru man neram meeting vecha kadip avan ana nee mattum dan da eee nu iluchitu irrupa!" Prakash whined out his frustrations to his bestfriend and roommate Ashwin. 

Ashwin and Prakash had been living in their shared apartment since the lockdown prevailed. Since they were working from home it was convenient and practical. It all started when the company Ashwin worked at decided to have a weekly recap meeting with all the branch members every Friday. That was how he got to know Sitaara from the Hyderabad branch. They have never had a conversation till now, it has always been her sharing work info in the meetings. But somehow Ashwin managed to develop a crush on her.

At this point Prakash was tired of hearing all about this girl every Friday! "Macha so cute da!"  "Macha ava epdi pesna theriuma!" "Inniku black top la alaga iruntha!"

   Prakash just wanted to trample him down. As a friend in this matter all he can say is to tell his bestfriend to propose. But the worst part is it would be very awkward for her learn about this, she might have just seen him as any other normal colleague. Leave about the coworker part, God knows if this girl is even aware of Ashwin's existence! 

Next week same time, same routine.

"Before we log out of the meeting today, I have a news for the Chennai branch. So few members from the Hyderabad and Bangalore branch are going to be shifted to the Chennai branch in accordance to the office resuming.. I will be pinging a few individuals to help out with the newcomers! Thank you so much guys for your patience and I will meet you next week in person!" Saying so the head concluded the meeting.

' Hey Ashwin, I would really appreciate it if you could assist Sitaara Ramakrishnan from the Hyderabad branch next week..'

He just sat there staring at that text with his mouth hanging wide open. "Rendu ee naalu kosu.." Prakash's comment broke his trance. He shot his friend a glare and replied..

'Sure, will do Albert👍'

"MACHA! MACHA! MACHA! You won't believe it!" He started jumping around the house for the rest of the week. Leaving a very tired Prakash to deal with this toddler on a sugar rush.

Ashwin was waiting at the reception for the past 20 minutes in the anticipation of his guest. 

And there she was walking in smiling vibrantly, on the phone with someone.

She was wearing a simple lavender notch collar belted dress. But that was enough to knock the breath out of him. She walked right passed him to register her name at the reception. He followed her back to let her know that he will be her guide.

After she was done, she turned to find him immersed in her. She cleared her throat and squinted her eyes at him, "Ashwin?" He nodded his head vigorously. 

"Hmm Albert told me you would be waiting, did I make you wait too long?" "No, it's just been a few minutes!" He gave his boyish smile. Well it can't be her fault if someone is waiting from a exceedingly long while for her, knowing very well it will take time, is it? 

He gave her a quick tour of the office premises and her cabin area, he also let her know where she could find him if she needed anything..

"Okay then meet you at lunch Ashwin. I mean I don't know anyone here SO..?"

"Yeah sure I'll meet you at the cafeteria." He chuckled at her nodding his head slowly.

She nodded back at the same pace, before turning away and grinning widely to herself.

She finally talked to him!!

This Chennai offer was totally unexpected to her. And she was in the same turmoil as Ashwin when she learned from the head that her WebEx crush will be assisting her! She felt hideous to be ogling over a guy in an other branch of her workplace. 

Oof the amount of torture her friends had to go through listening to her talk 2 hours about the 10 minutes he spoke in the meetings!

But none the less destiny decided that this wasn't just going to be a crush story for either of them.

And thus the universe witnessed the beginning of a beautiful romance❤️
