I gazed upon the building in front of me. Lord Death had invited me to come to this school. I suppose it was better than living on the streets.

"Are you sure this is a good idea, Ariella?"

I turned to see Fire, one of the four spirits within me. He was in spirit mode, meaning I could see him but others can't. He had tanned skin, chocolate hair, and crimson eyes.

"She'll be fine, Fire. Quit picking on her."

Next came Water, also in spirit mode. She had bleach-blonde hair with blue streaks and ocean blue eyes. She had a slight tan. Water and Fire obviously hated each other, but it was more of a sibling hate. Nothing major.

"Shut up, Water."

"Why you-"

Earth and Air bother appeared at the same time. Earth had dark skin, black hair, and green eyes. She was beautiful. Air was paler than the moon, and had white hair and blind-blue eyes. We treated him normally, though.

"You guys shouldn't fight!" Earth interrupted, pulling the elements apart.

"She started it." Fire mumbled, crossing his arms in a childish manner.

"Yeah? Well, I'm ending it." Earth said.

Air just stood there silently. He usually wasn't much of a talker.

"We're gonna be late if you keep arguing." I told them, heading up the stairs.

As souls bound to this body, they had no choice but to follow. We reached the top of the stairs, and heard someone laughing.

A boy around my age stood on top of one of the spikes coming out of the DWMA. He had blue hair and a star scar on his upper arm. I couldn't hear a word he was saying.

He jumped down, landing with a loud crash. I narrowed my eyes at him.

"I, the awesome Black*Star, challenge you to a fight!" The boy yelled, pointing at me.

I looked at my companions; whom, in return, shrugged. "Sure." I finally said.

Black*Star ran at me, his position telling me he was going to punch me.

"Earth." I stated calmly.

She saluted. "Right!" She raised her left hand, and created a rock barrier around my stomach and chest. Although it was heavy, I could handle it for a little bit.

Black*Star punched my gut, his soul wavelength shattering the rock and leaving me with a slight tingle. He blinked, clearly confused.

I raised my fist. "Fire." Fire caught my hand on fire and I swung at the boy's face. He flew back several feet, his blue hair on fire.

"I WILL SURPASS GOD, I REFUSE TO LOOSE!" He yelled, standing back up.

In my peripheral vision, I could see two people by the door. One was sitting in a chair and the other was staring at me in shock. I ignored them for now.

"YOU WON'T WIN!" Black*Star continued. "FOR I AM THE AWESOME-!"

"Water, please make him shut up." She nodded firmly and shot him with a blast of water. He was knocked off his feet again.

I looked at my team. "I'm going to end this. Ready?" They nodded.

"Let's go! Soul Resonance!"

They turned visible to everyone. I held out my hands in front of me. One by one they transformed into energy balls and went into my hands.

I glared at Black*Star. "Dove of Life." As soon as the energy left my palms, I collapsed onto the ground.

The elements quickly transformed back into their visible forms. Black spots danced in my vision.

The last thing I heard before the darkness consumed me was the elements calling my name.
