A third pencil hit Sophie's should and she grabbed it and threw it back, at the blond boy laying down across from her.
"Fosssterrr!" Keefe dragged her name out as he groaned. "When are you going to be done with homework?"
"Never because it's all I do these days. You should be doing your work too." Sophie said.
"Come on! Let's go do something fun." Keefe said. Sophie groaned and shut her work book.
"What is it you want to go do so badly?" She asked exasperated.
"Let's go walk on the beach! I'm bored!" Keefe said excitedly.
"Fine." Sophie said. They walked down the path to the beach with Sándor trailing behind them. "Let's build sandmen!" Sophie said and crouched down to shape the sand. A little while later Keefe shouted
"I win!"
"What?" Sophie asked shocked as she looked over at a sand statue of Sándor. The details were amazing and it looked just like the real thing. "How did you do that so fast?" She asked.
"I'm just talented." Keefe said with a smirk. Sophie raised an eyebrow. "And a little bit of help." Keefe said sheepishly stepping out of Sophie's view of Sándor. Sophie had built a snowman out of sand, with flowers around it.
"Here let me fix something." Sophie said, and added some sand on the top of the sandman's head. "Done!"
"What is that?" Keefe asked pointing at the new sand she had added.
"Your hair." Sophie Said, holding back laughter.
"What?!" Keefe looked mock hurt. "You insult the hair?!" He asked. "Revenge!" He yelled and threw a clump of sand at Sophie, and it skimmed the top of her head. Sophie threw sand back and they started a full fledged sand fight. Only stopping when Sándor threw sand at them that hit Keefe in the back, and Sophie on the cheek, knocking them both down. "You ok foster?" Keefe asked as he crawled over to her.
"I'm ok." Sophie said as she sat up. She sat in Keefe's lap as she worked the sand out of her hair. Keefe laid back and pulled her with him as they looked at the sunset not realizing how dark it had gotten.
"I have something for you" keefe said as he sat up and faced Sophie.
"Oh?" She asked as she sat up too, and keefe pulled a small box out of his pocket. He opened the box and gave Sophie the bracelet that was inside. It was small and gold with red gems along it.
Picture of it
Sophie slid it on and found that it fit perfectly. " We both know red's your color and i know that you don't have many bracelets" keefe said.
"Thank you so much keefe!" Sophie exclaimed giving him a hug, Which covered them both in sand. Keefe walked Sophie back up to her house, gave her a hug good bye, and leaped home for the night.
"Sophie! Did I just hear that boy's voice?!" Grady yelled as she opened the door to have dinner.
