Hero Of The Eternal

Chapter one - The beginning

Luna sat with her legs crossed, sitting in the middle of the back of Calvin's car as he drove her and Polly to the mall, she thought it was embarrassing being driven by her friend's older brother but she couldn't put a reason on why it is was embarrassing, just that it was.

"Cal, just pull on up, we'll be fine." He gave his sister a look before stopping at the front of the mall, both the girls unbuckled their seatbelts and left the car, Polly had kept the front passenger car open as she leaned against the door before he told her not to before explaining "Text me and I'll come pick y'all up, Polly be good." She rolled her eyes "You ain't funny, feed the sheep when ya get back." She shut the car door before catching up with Luna.

Luna watched her run up before dusting her pants off "Why don't you guys think of going to a car wash?" She complained a bit as the tan dust coated a spot on her green tank top "Girlie, we live on a literal dirt road. We wait for rain, more efficient." Polly then grabbed her hand and dragged her off to look at the clothes for hours.

They had entered around 5 pm but now it was around 7 pm, mainly just looking at clothes and getting snacks before Luna checked her phone and showed Polly "I think this girls' trip was successful and even more successful if you want to count that no boys came up and flirted with you." She joked before the other playfully shoved her "At least I catch fish, you just catchin' vines." She made a shocked expression and placed a hand on her chest, pretending like the demon just said the absolute worst thing "I feel offended, demons are just plain to mean."

The girls left the mall, Polly pulled her phone out of her back pocket to text Calvin to pick her up as Luna was just planning to walk back. Just as she sent the text, her phone levitated out of her hand as she looked to who was doing it, he levitated her phone into his hand and examined it before looking back at Polly "Pinewood student? Disgusting." He made a face as Luna glared at him before she looked for a nearby plant as he snapped his fingers to get her attention again "Hello? Are you just going to ignore me?" He carelessly swung the demon's phone back and forth between two fingers to just get under Luna's nerves.

"No, sorry, I don't talk to idiots, or do you have a preferred term?" She tilted her head to the side before noticing green behind him as Polly tried to get her attention "Hey, Luna? Just leave it, we ain't gotta deal with him and I honestly just want to get back with zero causalities-" She spoke too late as vines wrapped around his legs, pulling him to the pavement face first as another grabbed her phone to give back to her friend "Oh shoot-" Luna face palmed realizing as Polly shook her head "Girlie, you gotta think before you act."

He huffed in frustration as he used his arm to push off from the pavement, lifting his free hand before looking at Luna followed by levitating her into the air and tossing her into a car as she seethed in pain from slamming into the car door "Luna! Hey now that ain't nice, go crawl back to your school and bully 'em!" Polly ran over to Luna before realizing the rather large flytrap growing to try and eat the rival student as a crowd started gathering quickly from the two students. The demon helped the other onto her feet as she saw a car driving over to them "Girlie, call it off because we have to leave. Now."

She glanced at her before looking at the kid, the flytrap stopped but stayed there before she noticed the car before glancing at the crowd "That's going to be noticed by the principal..." Polly scoffed while looking at the scene "Ya think?" She saw her brother slowly pull over to get close enough as Luna and her friend rushed over to get out of there quickly as the large flytrap faded and slowly slumped over as it died.

She waved goodbye before entering her parents' house, just planning on heading straight to her bedroom to water her plants and update them on what happened today as she usually did. Besides her friends and family, the plants here and everywhere were her safe spot or the key to escaping reality to feel closer to her inner self.
