Chapter Two

She slowly opened and closed her eyes to the vibration of her phone buzzing from texts, alarms, and phone calls, and then the voice of someone familiar fully woke her up as she shot up to look around as if she was lost but the mess and plants in her room told a different story, her mom snapped her fingers to get her attention. The soothing voice of her mother carried to her ears “Honey? It's one in the afternoon, did you sleep well?” The witch simply nodded and rubbed her face with her hand to wipe away the drool that was damp against her skin as the older and kind woman nodded with a caring smile on her face “Okay, well, some people are downstairs to meet you so get dressed and brush your hair and be all nice presenting-” She rolled her eyes as she smiled and nodded “Will do mom, do you want me to clean the house as well? Or is the list done?” She joked while holding in her laugh.

“Hah hah, very funny. You have 10 minutes before you get your butt downstairs.” The door closed softly before she heard the footsteps leave as she got changed into a dark green dress with a vine and flower pattern, it laid just below the knees and had thin shoulder straps but she added a mini black mesh jacket before moving into the nearby bathroom where she unbraided her twin braids to brush it clean. Her straight hair became wavy from sleeping in the braids so she just made a quick low ponytail before going downstairs to meet these people, questioning who they would be and hoping that it wasn't reporters to interrogate her about what happened because it would have been bound to be put on some sort of social media and then on the news.

She stopped at the bottom of the stairs and stared at the woman from yesterday and she brought one other with her, were they following her? That's kind of creepy now, were they going to hurt her or take her from here? She didn't know but that hurt that happy and intrigued mood. “Wh-Why are you here? I don't understand... You know what, explain what you want from me.” She looked directly at the ginger-headed witch who sat on the couch where a vampire sat beside her, “Hey, I get it. But look, I know you are young and in high school but I... It's hard to explain but we need your help.”

Disbelief, she was in complete disbelief about what she was talking about but she shook her head raised her hand, and blinked a few times “I don't believe you, I think you two are a couple of creeps who saw me on the internet and I bet you work at that awful place!” She then tried to shoot thorns at them but the vampire stood up and closed her hand quickly to retract a painful visit “Look, we are not with MRF. We despise what they do to people like us, different abilities and species other than humans, scare them. I'm a vampire, she's a witch and he's a ghost.” She looked confused and searched the room which still had only her and the two of them “Who's he? There's two of you- Oh shit!” She jumped seeing the third figure appear out of nowhere, was he just sitting by them the entire time and saying and doing absolutely nothing? Kinda creepy...

Mercy stood up and walked over to remove his hand from her's “She's already spooked, don't make her more nervous or scared than she already is. He's Jack Brown and he's Gazlah, you don't have to fear us but at least let me give you my number so if you want us to help you then you can.” Luna drew her hand towards her chest and stared at Mercy before giving in. If it'll make them leave her alone, “Fine, I'll be right back.” She backed up keeping her eyes on them before going upstairs to get her phone to hand it to the other witch. Once Mercy was done putting the numbers in her phone she pointed to the door “Leave now, that's all I ask from you guys now.” She nodded and waved for the two to follow her outside the house Luna immediately went to text her friends about what happened but got something from the news about a vampire breach in the football stadium in the middle of Coroon which would be Bridgebarn and that place isn't that far from here and so instead of texting and worrying her friends about the three strangers stalking her, she asked who was willing to come to a football stadium with her.
