Chapter 2; Neighbors

Y/N's pov;

I heard the doorbell ring. " ILL GET IT " I shouted. I ran downstairs to answer the door but my mom got to it before I could. There stood a woman with blond hair. She was holding a tray. " Hi may I help you? " My mom asked the woman. " Hello, I heard we had new neighbors moving in so I decided to bake a welcome gift for you guys. Their cupcakes. " The woman replied with a smile. " Oh thank you! My name is (m/n)" My mom said back to her with a sweat tone. " My name is Beth. " The woman replied. " Well I have to get going now but I'll see you around (m/n)" The woman left and headed back home. As my mom closed the door I looked outside the window. She lived right across from us. I took a cupcake Beth had made and ate it. Damn this was good. I went back up to my room and put some music on. I drifted asleep.

Rick's pov;

Beth walked back into the house. " Our new neighbors seem friendly " she said. " Yeah not until you catch their d- * eurp * daughter staring at you from her window. " I replied. " Chill out dad I'm sure she was just curious " Beth said with a annoyed face. " Whatever makes you sleep at night hunny. " I told her while rolling my eyes. I headed back to the garage. I got back to working on my portal gun. I took a swig from my flask and put it back in my coat.

Time skip; Monday
Y/n's pov;

I woke up in my bed freezing my balls off. First day of school and honestly I'm here for it. I got dressed in some baggy pants, baggy shirt and put a zip up over it. I put my hair up in two braids and left for school. I saw that man in his garage again, he looked so cute. Before he looked at me I turned away and headed for school.
