The Intertwine // Chess and Miko

Chapter 1 // Prologue

"Hurry up, I will be late, and it will be your fault!" Is one of the first things Chess said that morning, waking up late from grading many papers for finals. Chess gathered his things, almost throwing them into his bag. He was about to be late for work because of grading papers, and he started to feel like he was back in school again, his mother yelling at him to wake up. Instead of his mother yelling, he was yelling trying to wake everyone up. He ran down the stairs, to find his husband awake and sitting at the table, holding a piece of toast, and phone in his hand, scrolling through something. 

"Sweetie, please hurry, ill be late for class, if I'm anymore them 15 minutes late, the students will take that as a 'we can leave class' excuse!" I almost yelled at my husband, Miko, for something that wasn't his fault. Miko stood up, walked over to me, looked into my eyes, and burst out laughing. I was very confused as to why he was laughing at me. He soon enough stopped laughing and hugged me tightly. 

"Hon, it's Saturday," Miko said, whispering in my ear. My face went red, I checked the date on my phone, and of course, he was correct. It was Saturday, aka, no school. I started hugging him back, trying not to face him, I knew he was looking at me, doing a cheeky smile. 

"And I'm even dressed and ready..." I mumbled while my face was stuffed into his neck. He brought up his arms and held my face while laughing. "Don't be embarrassed, I've done it once too. Forgetting you even have a life out of work." He kissed my cheek, then went on, "Do you want toast for breakfast, or just coffee?" He looked at me, then walked towards the kitchen, expecting an answer. 

"Can you just make both, I need to get undressed now, and unpack..." I yelled towards him, then walked back up the stairs, to get changed, now calmly. I walked into our room, the room is quite big, with a queen-sized bed, two desks, a closet, two windows, and a soft carpet.  I set all my books, papers, pens and markers, and computer back on my desk. Then I went to the closet, and undressed, then dressed in a white shirt, with long sleeves, and some stupid cat joke printed on the shirt, then I slipped into some long pants, the color gray. It was the middle of winter, almost winter break, finally. In almost two weeks, I'll be free from stupid students, and be with my family. 

I closed the closet and looked in the long mirror we have just sitting on the side of the room. I started fixing my hair since it looked very messy, I swear, if I went to school with messy hair, I would have jumped out of a window, without even caring for the glass shards that pierced my skin.  

I left the room, not caring to shut the door since it was my house. I walked down the stairs and into the kitchen, finding Miko waiting on the coffee. "You can sit at the table, ill bring it to you." He looked in my direction, and smiled at me, then went back to watching the coffee machine. 

I walked towards him, kissing his cheek, "Thank you!" I smiled, then started to the table. I sometimes think of Miko as some obedient dog, He just does so much stuff for me, I just need to thank him somehow. Then again, he married me, so that's a big thanks. 

I had been sitting at the table waiting for a good minute, then I heard talking from the kitchen, realizing it was Yury, my daughter. I probably never mentioned this, but I have a daughter named Yuey, she's 12, and is in Middle School, in the 6th grade. She is a very smart kid, she plays games, loves her parents, and is honestly the best. She walked into the dining room, looked toward me, and started rambling. 

"I almost stayed up until 1 am, this game was super hard, I wanted this achievement but it took almost 2 hours to complete, I am not doing it again!" She kept rambling on about her game. Then a subject I didn't expect popped up. "Is Auntie going to be staying this weekend?" Yuey questioned. "I don't think so, she said she has a new job and thinks she can keep it?" I reply to Yuey's question. My sister El is a very confusing fellow, she cannot keep a job for the life of her. Although she graduated High School, as well as University. She sometimes loses a job, gets drunk, then runs to our home to stay the night. I feel bad, but it isn't my fault she keeps losing her job. I always let her stay, since she is my sister. 

Miko doesn't mind her either, she just has to stay in the guest room, and not invade our privacy, and we're good. Yuey loves my sister though, probably since they both are girls, Yuey loves when she comes over, though she doesn't realize half of the time she's drunk, she loves Aunt El very much. 

Miko then walked into the dining room and set my food in front of me. "Here you go, Prince." He kissed my head, then went to sit next to me, where his food was, now a bit cold. "Do you want anything to eat Yuey, before I get relaxed?" "No, it's fine, ill make myself something." Yuey got up from her seat and went into the kitchen to make herself something.

"What do you want to do today? We can just relax at home?" Miko asked me, turning to face me. "We could sleep, or watch a movie?" Miko suggested. I nod my head in agreement, I didn't feel like doing anything productive, so I was fine with just staying home.

"Yeah, I would like that," I responded to Miko's question. "But we can do what you want if you'd like." Miko smiled at me, then responded, "Are you positive, because you won't walk for the rest of the day." Miko responded smiling innocently. I blushed, I think he means what I think he means, but I don't want to say. 

"Miko, we did that last weekend," I responded, still having a blush on my face. Miko chuckled a bit, then kissed my cheek. "I meant we could go on a run, but if you want to do that-" I covered Miko's mouth, embarrassed. "Sorry, I thought you meant 'that' haha." I laughed in response. 

Sex has always, even after marriage, been a strange subject to me. I love it, I just don't want to do it every single day, I don't get how people in manga and comics do it! But I and Miko already did it this month, we usually do it three times every month, just so we have some type of action in our lives, I enjoy it either way, but having sex be the only thing in our relationship is wrong, I honestly can't understand people who only have sex in a relationship, and not do other things like go on dates and just having a relaxing day.  

I had finished my food, and Yuey has just come back from the kitchen, she looked at my plate and picked it up.

"I'll clean it, I know, !'m such an amazing and spectacular daughter haha!" Yuey laughed and walked back into the kitchen with my dishes. I smiled and yelled a 'Thank you in her direction, getting a 'Your Welcome' back from her. 

"Want to move to our bedroom? We can just watch a show on the laptop?" Miko suggested, I immediately agreed, I love just lying in bed with Miko, it's just relaxing and nice. 

I told Yuey we'd be in our room and we both headed up the stairs. Once back in our room, Miko hopped in bed, then I did the same after getting the computer. I pulled the covers over us and we looked at Netflix for a show or movie we haven't seen yet. Once we found a decent show, Miko hit 'play' and started it.

 I have a habit of falling asleep halfway through the movie, but this time, it was Miko who fell asleep first, he must have been tired. Then I paused the movie and put the computer on the side table. And hugged Miko as I fell into dreamland.
