The God of Thunder sat under a tree alone. He looked up as he heard footsteps approaching.
"Thor, my son, come and walk with me." Odin insisted. They walked for a short while before Odin finally spoke. "I have a task for you, my son. Much rides on this that I ask of you."
"Anything Father," Thor quickly agreed. Surely it must be some beast that needed slain, or mayhap an arduous quest for an item of power that must needs be retrieved. "I believe I am surly the equal of any task."
"That is well," Odin knew he could count on Thor. "I need you to go now to Midgard and be guardian over the half-human princess, Serinity."
"Yes Father." Thor's countenance visibly fell. This was not what he had hoped. "It shall be done."
