James and I enter the music store, it's beautiful. "I love the layout of this store! I like when you walk in you see guitars first thing!" I pull on James' sweater sleeve to let him know I'm excited about this store.
"Whatcha think of this?" James asks me holding a f/c explorer, "That's awesome! Explorers are so pretty." I tell him looking at every detail of it. "Wanna try it? I can teach you something quick from our album we're working on." He hands me the guitar and walks over to the register. "Hey man! Can my.. girlfriend try this guitar?" he points at me.
GIRLFRIEND?? HE CALLED ME HIS GIRLFRIEND... IM GONNA FAINT.
"Yeah of course. Follow me." James and I are taken to a room, I get a chair to sit in with the guitar plugged in. "Uh... James you got any guitars picks? I only have that one you gave me at the concert and I'm keeping that thing sacred." I ask him, "Yeah. Here you go. You can keep that one if you want." He hands me a red guitar pick that says "Metallica" on it. Sweet, they've gotten custom picks!
"Okay so this song, on the a string hold down 2." He shows me. "Wait can I show you first? I'll show slow and tell you the fretting." He asks me, "Yeah!" I get up and hand him the guitar. "Okay. The first one is 2 on a and an open e at the same time." he plays the note, stopping it quickly after. "Then you go down the same strings, 12 on the a string and 13 on the e string. Then go up 3 times." He plays the notes, I watch his fingers move around the fret board as he shows me the beginning to the song.
"What song even is this?" I ask him. "Oh, this is Master of Puppets... from our album we're working on... Master of Puppets. It's not too difficult to play when you can play it as fast as me. I think it's fun to play. Probably shouldn't teach you it if you haven't guitared for long but oh well!" He explains to me. I'm excited for their new album, they all sounded so good. James vocals were incredible when they practiced at James' house!
After James showed me how to play the intro to the song I felt more confident. We walk over to the register "What're we doing?" I ask him. "We'll take it." James tells the cashier. "Alright!"
We leave the store "Oh my god James thank you so much! I lo- Thank you!" I give him a hug to hide my face after accidentally almost telling him I love him.. "You're welcome. Were you gonna say you love me?" He lifts my chin up to look at him "Uhm.." I don't really know what to say, I want to kiss him but I said we need to get to know each other first. You know what, SCREW IT.
I grab his face to connect it with mine, I kiss him for as long as I can until I'm out of breath. "Wow. What happened to wanting to get to know each other?" He leans against his car cross armed. "Don't get cocky, Hetfield. I know I said I want to wait but I had to. You did something generous and you looked extremely attractive. You look good in sweaters like that." I look him up and down.
He puts the guitar in his trunk, I go to the front of the car to get in. The entire car ride was silent on the way home, we occasionally looked at each other with a smile.
We returned home and head to my apartment, "Jess! I'm sorry we're late. We didn't miss the plan tonight right?" I knock on Jess' door. "Oh those got cancelled!" she opens her door, seeing James behind me. They both wave to each other. "What? Why?" I ask her, we had plans on going to a restaurant tonight.
"Well the restaurant literally like canceled our reservation. Maybe we can go to a different restaurant though, bring your lil' boyfriend along!" she winks at James and I.
"What time is it?" I ask. "About 5." Jess replies. How we're we out that long???
"Can we have cereal for dinner?" James steps up to ask. "Uh... I mean sure why not! Jess you want cereal for dinner?" I grab 2 bowls "Nah. I'm gonna order pizza!" She picks up the phone "Ohhhhh wait I want pizza!" James runs over to Jess.
We order 2 pizzas, one for Jess and 1 for James and I to share.
ring
The doorbell rings James runs to the door like a dog waiting for food. He takes the pizza and pays the pizza man.
We sit on the couch together, all eating out pizza while watching a movie (your favourite).
AFTER MOVIE
we finished eating and the movie, Jess was knocked out, so James and I went to my bedroom. He starts to get touchy, I allow it.
