Monday

Dream was like every other teenager at his school, constantly dreading Mondays arrival and when it did arrive it was constantly the worst day. Everything that could go wrong did, it didn't help that today was the first day of school. Dream was only beginning his grade 11 year and he was already horribly dreadful over the year to come. The first day of school always made him extremely anxious although he's been doing this for years.

"Dream, luv are you okay?" He looked over to his alarm clock at the sound of his mother shouting for him, his heart began to race as his eyes paced over the clock that seemed to stare back at him. 8:40 AM, Dream raced out of bed and threw on basic clothes, his usual dark forest green hoodie and basic blue jeans, he brushed his teeth, fluffed his dirty blonde hair to the best of his ability and ran downstairs.

"Morning" the sleep still evident in his voice

"Goodmorning hun, it's 8:52, you should probably leave, wouldn't want to be late for the first day of school." Dream knew she was right but he longed to go back to bed and forget about school's existence.

9:02 AM

Dream made it just in time seeing as the bell rang at 9:00, he was thankful to know his entire school like the back of his hand it made finding his classes as easy as ever.

"Good Morning everyone! Welcome to your first day of grade 11 I'm Ms Velt." Her voice was sweet yet too energetic for nine in the morning.

Dream slowly began to wake up and look around his new A block classroom, there were rows of desks in pairs of twos, a big window looking into the hallway, a few generic posters on the wall, your basic classroom.

"Okay everyone I'm giving you 20 minutes to talk to the person beside you, if you know them already great if you don't then meet new people!"

Dreams' vision shifted to look at the boy beside him, if we were being honest he hadn't even noticed him until now.

"Hey" Dream started the conversation because it didn't seem as if the smaller boy was going to and Dream was a talkative person no one could deny that.

"Hi" the boy looked up from the desk for the first time, meeting Dreams eye contact. The boy had deep brown eyes that could swallow you whole, they were nothing like his eyes which were more of an emerald green colour that he had been complimented on his whole life.

"I'm Dream, what's your name? I don't think I've seen you before." He did his best to put on a lively friendly tone although the boy's responses took forever which began to annoy Dream.

"Uh yeah I'm George, this is my first year here."

"Oh cool, do you know anybody here yet? Got any plans for lunch?" Being friendly was in his nature but he still regretted the words as soon as he spoke them, he felt too friendly.

"No I don't know anyone and I doubt I'm going to" George said playfully but Dream felt some truth in what he was saying and immediately felt bad and invited George to hangout with him at lunch, he wasn't sure if that was smart, or weird but nonetheless George accepted.

"Perfect, Ill meet you and door 5 for lunch, see you then George," The bell rang minutes after their conversation had ended, conversations went on far longer than Ms Velt expected, stupid teenage conversations about nothing important taking up a whole block.
