I woke up at 6 AM in Magda's bed, but she was nowhere to be found. It worried me a bit. Magda Rakovich getting up so early? That was impossible, I knew her too well. A cry coming from the living room surprisingly calmed me down because I knew my little angel was nearby. I ran there immediately.

-Sweetheart? What happened? – I gently brought her head closer to my chest.

-M-my doctor, I-I got the results of my last medical check-up. I had irregular periods, so I was examined and... Turns out I-I am infertile!

I froze. This news didn't change my opinion about Magda even a tiny bit. I still loved her with my whole heart, but seeing her tears was heartbreaking.

-Honey, everything is fine. After all, we can always adopt a child. Let's not worry about it for now.

-B-but... Y-you still love me, right?

-More than you can imagine. – I kissed my little angel passionately. – I was planning to take you to my favourite place today.

Magda nodded.

-Lovely! I'll just pack something to eat and we can go. You stay here and cool down a little. It's not the end of the world, my angel.

I was planning on taking her to the park and having a little picnic together. I hoped we wouldn't meet anyone from the Ministry there. Especially Caleb, I didn't want to see him near Magda. I prepared a few snacks, a huge blanket, and iced coffee (I loved iced coffee!). Just as we were about to leave, the doorbell rang.

-Melody? – I asked, a bit surprised. – What are you doing here?...

-Well, it looks like they fired me.

-Oh, honey, you look cold! – Magda's maternal instinct activated instantly... Or whatever that's called. – Come inside.

-Thank you, aunt Magda.

-How could this happen? Should I talk with the manager? – For the first time in my life, I felt this irritated. How could they fire my niece? Maybe it was just stress influencing my reactions so much...

-New dress code... You know very well that me + high heels = tragedy.

-I guess it makes sense. – I admitted with a quiet sigh.

-Can I borrow some money for the hotel? I am already looking for a new job.

-Of course, sweetie! – It was funny how sometimes Magda was the first one to come out with MY decisions.

-Sure, everything for my beloved niece. – I added quickly.

[I don't think we'll be able to have a picnic today.] I thought, but I was glad we could help my niece. And of course, Magda's mood improved significantly. I prepared three wads of money for Melody, perfect for a few weeks stay in a hotel. During this time, Magda managed to make Melody some tea and a few snacks, find the right hotel, and give her a lot of life advice. Yes, that was definitely my Magda.

-When I finally manage to get a job at the theatre, I'll give you free VIP tickets to all my shows!

[Go, Little Rockstar!] I thought to myself with a big grin on my face.
