The truth

You stormed out of the Training room and you walked down the hallway and went into your room , locked the door and crawled in bed. You wrapped yourself in your blankets and listened to alien blues.
All you felt was some betrayal . you had asked about your mother before but Ghost had told you that she passed away after you were born . turns out she was still alive .
Maybe this was for the  best and didn't want me  to feel upset about not having my mother in my life .
You thought to yourself .
Maybe I'm better off with just my dad.
You curled up and just sat in silence .
'' Why did you tell her , you knew I didn't want her to know and especially not like this . ''
Ghost said while scolding Alejandro .
'' she deserves to know , you knew you couldn't hide this from her for long . She's a kid and kids are bound to find stuff out Ghost . ''
'' She's had it kinda rough ...I mean she had gotten captured two days ago and we found her cut up . That's something no child should endure . she deserves better and she deserves to know about her mother but you should tell her , curiosity killed the cat .''
'' her mother was a piece of shit you know ...she made me have to choose between her and my own child  . ''
'' Ghost i understand it's hard ...i have kids too and its gets hard when they find out stuff you tried to protect them from but regardless of that you need to tell her the full story okay .''
Ghost took a minute to take in the information and understanding from Alejandro while letting out a sigh .
'' I'll tell her just...give me a minute . she's in her room and clearly not in the greatest of moods at the moment .''
Ghost sighed while walking out of the training room with Alejandro . Alejandro walked off and let Ghost be for a while but now it was time for Ghost to get you out of your room . He knocked on your door lightly hoping for you to go to the door but you didn't . he  knocked again but a little bit louder this time and it finally got your attention .
'' what do you want .''
You said your voice is muffled and small .
'' i want you to know the truth so let me in .''
Ghost said gently .
'' please .''
He said while hoping you'd open the door and to your surprise you unlocked the door and opened it .
You crossed your arms and looked up at him to see the same old skeleton face as usual . you gave him a hard stare and you silently invited him into your room . you walked and crawled back into bed . Ghost followed and he sat on the edge of your bed .
'' listen .....''
'' i know why you lied dad ....you just wanted to keep me from getting upset but seems your plan has failed .''
You said quietly while looking at him .
'' I tried my best but I know you want answers and you're right ...you deserve to know . ''
He said while letting out a deep exhale .
'' what Alejandro said was true but your mother wanted me to choose between having you or aborting you and staying with her ..I chose to stay with you . She didn't want to be a mother nor take care of a child . She made up an excuse at first saying that she wasn't ready to be a parent but then she admitted to never wanting kids after you were born . I managed to talk her into keeping you and she didn't but once you came out iot the world she wasted no time leaving me with you when I said I chose you . you will and always will be my first priority .''
You took a moment to take in what you heard . It pained you to hear that your mother never wanted you but there's nothing you could do . your vision started to become blurry as you tried to hold back tears that were threatening to fall . without hesitation Ghost scooched over to you and  pulled you into a hug . you didn't protest but he just held you there . it wasn't long before you wrapped your arms around him.
'' i'm sorry .....i shouldn't have snooped ''
You said quietly while finally letting the tears go .
'' you deserved to know ...you had a right . curiosity gets to the best of us sometimes and sometimes it's the curiosity that leads to things we never knew .''
He said quietly while resting your head on his shoulder . you wiped your tears with your shirt .
Ghost kept a hand on your back slowly moving it up and down giving you the comfort you so much needed .
'' i'm just glad i have you and the others .''
You said while pulling away and giving a soft smile and wiping up the dried streak marks of your tears .
'' how are your arms feeling so far.''
He asked while his hand ghosted over your arms , seeing how the skin is healing up nicely .
'' there okay just sore ''
'' Alright, good to hear . Listen, I love you okay and no one will ever change that.''
'' i love you too dad .''
Ghost got up and went to leave and he closed the door behind him and he left you be for the time being .
