Pallis groaned in annoyance, ever since his father got him a tutor, Nubia had been a pain in the neck. He didn’t see any reason to focus on the history of the light, especially since they were their sworn enemies but Nubia argued it was important nevertheless and it was useless to argue so he complied.
It was important for Pallis to learn many histories of theirs and the world around them to become king as he was heir to the throne, Adakias was forced into it as well since he was going to be Pallis right hand man once he had become king of the dark.
Adakias didn’t take it too well, despite being so well into the subjects and history which proved to him showing to be very intelligent, Sangara had proven to be one hell of a son of a bitch to Adakias.
Sangara showed to be passive aggressive to his brother and being resentful of him, often complaining about how apparently slow and 'stupid' Adakias was during the sessions.
Describing him to be very quiet and fidgety during their sessions, having to use military-like tactics to force Adakias to 'pay attention' or 'improve.' but Pallis knew his brother, he knew he wasn't stupid, he was far more smarter than he was in these types of subjects.
Sangara was known for disliking Adakias anyways, ever since he was young not understanding any of his disabilities and with his increasing obsession with fairy tales and the prophecy, he would treat him lesser for it (which Pallis always showed great disapproval for.)
"Sir Pallis" he jumped from the sudden voice, recognizing it to be Nubia, he turned to his side, seeing a great disapproving look written on his face.
"You mustn't get distracted, this is very important as you will be king one day" Nubia stated plainly, Pallis groaned in frustration rubbing his temples, he let out a quiet yawn.
He looked around the clock to see it was close to midnight. He groaned once more, "are you tired sir Pallis?" Nubia questioned, placing his kind soft hands on Pallis's shoulder.
Pallis nodded, watching Nubia's mouth curve slightly into a smile, "would you like to end the session for tonight? You've been working very hard" Pallis nodded again.
He watched as Nubia gave a simple nod. "Very well, then we shall continue tommarrow evening" Nubia stated as he turned to start packing the papers and books into his case. "Would you like me to get you anything to drink sir Pallis?" Nubia asked, Pallis thought for a moment and nodded "...some tea would be nice…"
He watched as Nubia smiled more as he placed his case on top of Pallis's bed to retrieve after he'd fetched his drink. "I'll do that, I'll be right back my lord" and with that he quickly left the room, leaving Pallis alone with his thoughts.
Pallis trails back to his memories, remembering the day he first met Nubia, he was one year older than he was and was introduced as one of the rare scholars in the land of the dark.
Usually scholars were common in the lands of the light, but Nubia proved to be a unique exception to that rule, he was similar to Adakias in regards, an outcast like him, but far more respected than Adakias unfortunately.
Nubia was shown to be more serious and not really prone to showing his emotions with the other people in the castle, but Pallis noticed just how human he was with him whenever they'd talk or continue with their study sessions every night.
He'd noticed how far more emotive he was with Pallis, how he'd shown to be soft and caring for him, making sure he was careful around Pallis as not to make him uncomfortable of any of the sort. He'd find it strange but figured he probably found him to be considered a friend of his.
Pallis fiddled with his pen a little as he let out a long sigh, Pallis had become to grown anxious of the day he would eventually become King. To be put under pressure so young as under fourteen meant this was essentially a big deal, it was an immense honor to be titled king and Pallis knew that, forcing himself to grow up a little too early, finding himself drift away from his brother of sorts which saddened him a bit as his responsibility came In front of when the times he'd like to spend time with his brother, Adakias.
