My lungs were burning but I kept running, I couldn't lose them again. I could feel the rain against my skin, it hit my face like needles, and I could feel the pull of the string. I couldn't stop I had to catch them. I had to catch my soulmate! I've only caught a few glimpses of them but when I saw them and I felt complete, it was an addictive feeling. I'm almost there I can see them, their silvery-blue hair flowing in the wind.

Have they dressed appropriately for the weather? The worrying thought made me slow down. They are standing at the top of the hill. Watching. Our eyes meet and one soft gaze later, they're gone, a flash of lightning and they're gone. I skid to a stop my eyes wildly searching the area. I missed them again, and my heart sank. Clenching my fist I turn, my gaze downcast. I see something sparkling and lifted it up to eye level to see a single earring.

Glancing back at the hill I tense seeing a shadowy figure. Huh. The sun's coming up, could have sworn it was torrential rain just now. Feeling threatened I turned to leave, with one final glance back the figure moved to watch a bird flying overhead. An eagle, odd. You don't get many of those around here. I stared at my hand. Glaring daggers into my pinkie, the tattoos swirled around, mocking me. Punching the nearest wall in defeat, I could feel the tears build up as I made my way home, keeping my head down. Tipping the brim of my hat down over my eyes. The rain started up again, washing away the blood over my knuckles. I could feel the bruises beginning to form. The watering of my eyes stopped but I could still feel the pain in my chest.

"DAMN IT!" I yelled, startling several people around me.

Running my hand through my hair ruffling it. I glared at them and set off a small ring of fire narrowly avoiding being burnt everyone ran, they all ran, wanting to get away from 'The Prince of Hell'. Smirking as I watched them run, feeling satisfied I turned to walk home. The rain got heavier and it got colder. I sit on a bench unbothered by the weather. The rain ran down the brim of my hat. I turned my stare towards the sky and let the rain hit my face, taking my hat off for a moment. A laugh caught my attention, turning my attention to the town square.

"Say didn't you get a little aggressive back there, hmm? Theseus?"

Sending a sharp glare towards the slightly taller male.

"I have no idea what you are talking about, Torrin."

"Sure you don't! You're always looking for that bloody soulmate of yours, and when you don't find them you end up punching a hole in the nearest building. So, I'm guessing you felt the tug and ran after it blindly, again?"

My heart clenched again. Torrin was right. I often just ran in the direction I felt the tug, not caring what situation I was in.

"It's been 5 months, you would have thought I'd have found them by now. And not going on wild goose chases,"

Letting out a breath, I checked my pocket for my pocket knife, flicking it around.

"It's just I worry about them. If the navy found out who my soulmate is we'd be screwed. But, if the navy does -somehow- find out, they do have that little disappearing act of theirs."

Torrin let out a chuckle before, sitting on the floor in front of me.

"Yeah, that's true but if Pops finds out that you've destroyed another warehouse he'll have your head. By the way, how do you always manage to destroy abandoned warehouses and never the ones being used? It's like your a magnet for decommissioned warehouses."

Oh, right. Pops is getting increasingly concerned about the navy picking up on my endeavour. Sighing, I send a look at the building I had destroyed a couple of minutes ago.

"I'm not the most discreet, am I?"

Trying to laugh it off. Torrin sent me an annoyed look.

"Yeah, and you keep doing that you can forget about any chance with your soulmate. You go blazing down the street when you feel a tug, flames out and everything. It isn't a laughing matter, Theseus. I want you to have a future with your soulmate in peace and preferably don't end up like me and my soulmate."
