Backstory: Max was born into a witch family but he didn't get any gift and he had to draw on the energy of other witches in order to use his abilities, but on his 22 birthday he was turned into a Witch/Vampire hybrid, the first of his kind, and he could now fully access his abilities and use them to his will, the only thing was, was he had to learn how to control his abilities before he hurt someone so he ran until he met Lucy. Lucy helped him control his growing anger and helped him control his witch abilities, and she was the first person he came out to so they grew pretty close, now they're roommates in Seattle.
