Chapter 1

It's been 3 days since I've been in this damn truck.

I thought, ever since the incident back in my old city Umbrella has been after me. It wasn't my fault I did what I did, if Chris didn't backstab Mr then we'd be fine... I'll be fine..

A loud thud hit the side of the truck. I lift my head up, there was a bench across from me and there was a small bar window to see up front. The truck stopped and the driver got out a looked around I assume, there was a scream a moment later. The passenger grabbed their pistol and got out. It was quiet the there was shots heard then that's when the back doors opened up. There was a lady with a golden bird mask on and what seemed to be black feathers around her sides.

It was strange choice of outfit but that's me.

She held the pistol up that the passenger has and pointed it at me. I look away a curl up some then that's when the pistol was shot... Huh?.. What? I look down and see the chains were loose, I got out of the chains and looked up at the bird lady. She had her other hand out like she wanted me to take it.

Of course I deny cause I'm not into furrys.

I hop out of the truck and I see the two bodies laying on the ground drowned in there own blood.. I just stare at the passenger's body, bird lady must've noticed cause she said,

"Don't worry child, you'll be normal soon. For now please follow me."

I look over at here with a blank expression, This bitch just killed two people and now wants me to follow her??! Hell nah. She must've knew what I was thinking. I may not see much of her face due to the darkness the only light was the truck's headlights and taillights. But I could tell she was starting to get impatient.

"If you want to stay here and freeze to death that's fine also but I'd like to help you.. M/N"

I look up at her with a shocked expression. "How do you know my name lady." I asked in a somewhat not shuddered voice due to the cold. It was stupid of my wearing jeans, a T-shirt, and a light coat.

The lady looks at me and grabs my shoulder and starts leading me somewhere. I just let her, who knows what she could do. But I didn't care as long as I was in a warm house I'd be ok.

"Well now M/N, I'm Miranda but you may call me Mother Miranda. I'm taking you to my home so you can warm up and we can talk."

I stay quiet and just nod. I was hungry, I haven't ate since yesterday. It was just half of a granola bar but it was good. The driver and passenger was atleast nice enough to share.

After awhile of walking we walk into a small little house. It looked cozy and warm, but then something did feel off due to the environment it was in. Just sitting there about 20 feet away from a cliff. But it looked nice, there seemed to be a castle on the rights side and a windmill in the middle distance. If it wasn't so foggy maybe I'll know more of where I was. But atleast the sun was coming up.

As me and Mother Miranda went inside, she offered me some tea which I accepted. As she went to the kitchen I looked around still standing by the door. It was one floor. Living room was right infront of me, it was big enough for about 15 people. The kitchen was the door on the left. The bathroom seemed to be the room near the corner in the back. There was another room the the door was shut and it had a lock on it.

Weird.. I thought, Mother Miranda then came out with two cups and seated them on the table.

"Sit child, it's safe here. Trust me."

That's the thing I couldn't especially when you killed two people then brought me to your house.

I hesitate and sit on the couch across from the table, she sat in a small chair and handed me my cup.

"Thank you, Mother Miranda." I say kinda disturbed I said that. I take a sip of my tea.. It felt kinda... off.. That's when I realized my head hurting like hell, my vision getting blurry. There was muffled talking and that's when everything went black...
