LANDO NORRIS had his index finger on the shutter of his Leica Q2. A featherlight pressure was all that was needed for the familiar click to sound; the click that had become as natural to him as the sound of his own breathing at night, his own heartbeat, the rev of the engine when he slammed the throttle, the noise of the fans in the grandstands.

And yet that one click, this one in particular, would change his life. What had once started as a hobby after a rather painful breakup, had now led him to stare at his laptop in awe.

He hadn't realised at the time, but that ordinary shot had turned out to be the complete opposite. He had inserted the SD-card into his laptop, ready to edit the images for his daily post on his photography account that had racked up more than 100.000 followers in just six months. And yet, his jaw had dropped when he clicked on this picture.

A complete stranger, her hair falling in natural waves down her back, resembling a chocolate waterfall as if it had been designed by none other than Willy Wonka himself. She was smiling, leaning against the railing. A figurant, an extra in a shot that did not put her in the spotlight, and yet she was the focal point.

It caused an imbalance in the image, but Lando didn't really care, in his opinion it was the prettiest picture he'd ever taken. With a view on the small harbour of Fontvieille, greenery on all sides with the stranger glowing on the edge of the setting, it really was a one in a million shot.

He stared at the screen. Why hadn't he realised this in the moment? How had such a beautiful human being, with blue piercing eyes, slipped past him unnoticed? His finger, the same that had taken this shot, hovered over the touchpad of his laptop. Was he going to keep this picture for himself?

Maybe he could ask his followers for help. Maybe it was a fan, or a friend of a friend. He felt an urge in his chest, a desperate need to find out who this beautiful human was. He bit his nails nervously, then reached for his phone. He wasn't going to post it yet, he decided. But he knew one thing for certain:

He had to find this mysterious Cinderella.
