The break up

Cody's POV.

"AHHHHH! Jelena is finally over!" My little cousin, Isabelle shouted while jumping up and down on the couch. My heart dropped from my chest and landing in my stomach.

"Belle, what are you talking about?" I asked her getting slightly interested.

She looked at me like I was crazy.

"Jelena is O-V-E-R!" She yelled again.

I smiled.

Finally Justin could be all mine and not that whore of a girlfriend Selena...well EX- girlfriend.

"You're happy they broke up too?"  She asked.

I quickly wiped the smile off of my face and felt my cheeks get hot.

"No...I should call Justin and ask how he's doing." I said excusing myself from her.

I walked out of the den, and went upstairs to my room.

I flopped down on my bed and pulled out my phone and dialed Justin's number.

He picked up on the third ring.

"Hello?" His deep voice filled my ears,and I smiled to myself taking in this picture perfect moment.

"Justin, it's me!" I said cheerfully, not trying to hide the excitement in my voice.

"Cody...this isn't a good time." He said sighing.

I rolled my eyes.

"Hi Justin,how am I? Oh I'm fantastic,how about you? That's great!" I said mockingly in the phone.

Heard him breathe in deeply.

"Seriously, Cody I said it wasn't a good time!" Justin shouted in my ear.

I almost dropped the phone, Justin has never yelled at me before.

"F-fine sue me for trying to be a good boyfriend! I heard about the "Jelena" breakup,and I honestly don't give a flying flip how you feel about your FAKE relationship!"  I yelled back, slightly quieter because my cousin was still downstairs.

He didn't say anything back.

But I could still hear his breathing on the phone.

"Justin...say something." I whined.

"Cody,what is there to say?" He asked.

"Let's be with each other." I responded back. 

He sighed.

"You know that can't happen..." He said trailing off.

"Why not?" I asked annoyed.

Why can't he just accept us?!!?

"Cody,you already know why! We can't risk out careers over this!" He answered back.

"Oh,so that's all you care about...is your career!"  I say, as tears fall from my eyes.

I can't believe he cares more about his career than ME!

I sniffed.

"Are you crying?" His voice soften.

I didn't say anything back.

"I care about your career to, that's why we can't come out yet." He exclaimed. 

More tears fell out of my eyes.

"J-Justin, I'm in love with you...and I'm ready." I said as the tears kept flowing.

"Well...I'm not." He responded back.

I threw my phone at the wall and watched it crack in two.

I got under the sheets of my bed, and cried myself to sleep.
