Chapter 17

Here we go, another chapter. My last "One Good Turn" chapter was where I made you all aware of my account and asked for your support. I'm pleased to say that the support so far has been overwhelming, and will enable me to cover some of my most basic costs even should the business close down. That will keep me writing as a result! So thank you!

For those who haven't looked yet, it is dot com / Coeur and there are various community goals there which tie into what I write here. My fanfiction will always remain free, but reaching those goals will allow me to put more time into it as a reward to you all.

Currently we are at the level of an update every 3 weeks – which effectively means an update from me every Monday on one of my fics.

Originally the next goal was to release writing advice articles, yet I've already started doing that on my , for those who want to learn to write fiction, both original or fanfiction, like I do. This goal has now been changed to the following:

Release a 3rd Major Story (Staffroom Chronicles is a side-story). A few people have asked me in reviews and PM's lately if this will be the story "Stress-Relief" the synopsis of which is available on my profile. I was surprised to see so many people wanting it, but can happily say that yes, Stress Relief IS the planned 3rdstory to be released should the community goal be reached.

For those who might wonder if I am keeping it hostage, please don't worry. Once "One Good Turn" ends – and this will be the first fic I will finish, then Stress Relief will be released to replace this fic.

Some of you may wonder what I'm using the money for – well, honestly the first 250 goes to buying medicine for my dogs, who both have EPI. It's expensive medicine in the UK called Panzym, and they need special digestive dog food too. But beyond that, the money I earn is put into what I truly hope to do for the people here.

I would like to move into creating an animated series of my own. Writers are often overlooked when it comes to creating series or scripts, everyone can read and write to a degree – but true storytelling is a difficult skill to master. Just look at how many famous authors there are compared to amateur. As much as I like the RWBY series I would say it always sold more on bombastic fight scenes and funny characters, than any fantastic writing or scripting. Some of the conversations feel bulky, others weird. I also can't help but think the plot does come across as a little simplistic in places, stylised in others – i.e. Roman can fight Blake off one episode, then ten later can't even touch her, despite relatively little time passing.

I honestly think I could do better, but who knows, maybe I could not. Either way I have written for much of my career, journalistic, academic – even Ghost Writing for people much more famous than I will ever be. But I'd like to create something too. So I'm taking animation lessons, invested in a license for Maya 2016 and a few other software packages, and am learning the ropes.

Exciting.

Either way, onwards with the chapter – Next Monday is "Professor Arc" – and if you can find it in yourself to support me, even for as little as a dollar a month then please visit me on:
