Today, the 1st of March, is Self-Harm (or Self-Injury) Awareness Day. In honour of this day, I wrote this poem called "Little Butterfly". Stay strong.
This is dedicated to everyone who has ever self-harmed, self-injured or considered these two things.

Hey little butterfly
Fluttering your wings
You've come so far,
Done so well,
You can't fall back in
Hey little butterfly
Where are you going?
It's not your fault
It's not you
They're just arguing
Hey little butterfly
What happened to your arm?
I see those scars
Saw the blood
Did you turn to self-harm?
Hey little butterfly
Trying to hide your face
"Lots of attention,
All she wants.
She is such a disgrace."
Hey little butterfly
You nearly went too far
You're in a ward
Monitored
Your permanent scar
Goodbye little butterfly
I'll miss your ramblings
Your eyes are shut
Arms are crossed
You left behind your wings
