The 100th Floor

Kaichou lifted her eyes slowly, blinking a few times. "Where am I?" She couldn't focus well because of the pounding in her head. "Rei, where are-" she looked back to find nobody with her.
She stood and looked at her surroundings, an abandoned bed and cabinet with a unpleasant aroma was surrounding her. The only source of light was a dim candle in the corner of the room. "I need to find the others" she grabbed the candle and headed through the one door into a dark hallway.
She could hear the floorboards underneath her creak with every footstep. Kaichou opened the door to her right and carefully stepped inside a large room full with shelves and beds with curtains beside them. "Looks like a hospital room" she said breathing in the thick, dusty air.
She walked in sitting on one of the dusted beds. Kaichou suddenly felt a cold, quick grasp on her leg. "Aaaa!" She screamed in shocked and fell to the ground the cold grasp still on her leg. she looked down to she a pale hand on her. "Leave" it groaned, coming from underneath the bed. "Reach the top floor to...escape" it groaned again but weaker this time.
"Let go of me!" She screamed. Terrified, she violently shook her leg feeling the grasp pulling her. She shut her eyes. "Kaichou!" She heard her name and saw Gray next to her with a hatchet in his hand. He brought it down on the hand disarming it from Kaichou. She shook it off. Gray lifted her up and held her tightly in his arms. Kaichou was shacking violently in his arms from the terrifying moment. Gray met her face agin releasing her.
"Where did you get...that?" She said looking down at the still bloody hatchet. "Found it in a supplies room" he replied. Gray grabbed her hand and said "we should go before anything else happens." Kaichou nodded and followed him out of the room. Her hand was sweaty and she wasn't focusing properly. Those words went through her head. "Reach the top floor to...escape" the words said again. "Escape what?" She murmured to herself.
