The news
I was wiping the bar as the grumpy old man from table 16 once again yelled for me.
,, Eyyy Lady!"
I stopped in my movement, rolling my eyes, before I turned around, put on a smile and walked up to his table, where he was sitting all by himself.
,,What can I do for you, sir ?", I asked.
,,Would you be so kind and turn the volume up on the TV?"
I gave him a nod and went back to the bar.
Taking the remote, I turned up the volume and continued wiping the counter.I felt my phone start buzzing in the pocket of my trousers.
But I ignored it.I wasn't really up to a conversation atm.
Shutting out all of my surroundings, I continued my work and poured a whiskey for some drunk guy, who seemed as if his week was just as bad as mine.
When my phone started buzzing for the 5th time in a row, I grabbed it and put it on the counter.
,,Don't you wanna pick up?", the guy asked, handing me his empty glass, seconds after I had refilled it.
,,Oh no. Its my sister, she can wait", I answered, checking the fridge for a new bottle of whiskey.
The buzzing continued.
,,Seems important though", he guessed, peeking a look on the screen.
,,Carla-", he spelled out her name.
,,Pretty Name. You should pick it up"Sighing, I put down the bottle and picked up the phone.
,,What?", I answered the call.
,,Diora! Why wouldn't you pick up??"
Exhausted, I closed my eyes.
,,Carla there's something called work, don't know if you heard of it before, but that's what I'm doing"
Immediately I felt bad for being so rude towards her.
I knew she was just checking in on me.,,Of course I know!", she protested.
I could hear the slight disappointment in her voice for talking her down like that.,,I was just- well. You're on the news Diora"
Suddenly all the noise I had ignored, flushed back.
My eyes finding their own way to the big smart TV hanging in the pub.'Just a week ago, a scandalous clip made all the football fans crumble'
'Especially all the Barcelona supporters'
'After a super frustrating defeat for Barcelona, Player and fan favorite Pablo Gavi, crossed ways with an extremely maladroit Journalist'
'Most fans agree that these types of questions are just inappropriate. On the other hand a few said that Pablo Gavi's reaction has also not been too professional'
