Charlotte had just walked back in from her night job. "Where have you been you little slut?", a angry dad questioned. "I was working", Charlotte whispered. "OH YEAH? OR WERE YOU OUT FUCKING WITH SOME BOYS?", the hairy man yelled. "I WASNT WITH ANYONE I DO EVERYTHING I CAN TO KEEP THIS SHITTY FAMILY TOGETHER AND YOU. YOU CAN NEVER FUCKING APPRECIATE IT", Charlotte bit back. "YOU DONT DO ANYTHING BUT BE LAZY ",her dad scolded. "THEN WHAT ABOUT HER?", Charlotte asked while pointing to her mom passed out on the couch.

That's when he lost it. The old man grabbed Charlotte's hair pulling her to the floor beating on her non-stop. "STOP IT!", Charlotte whined. "YOU WHORE I WISH YOU WERE NEVER BORN!", He  said while throwing Charlotte across the room. Charlotte crawled up the stairs crying at each stair. When she arrived at her door she managed to get up and limped into her room. She sat down at her brown wooden desk and grabbed the letters her brother had sent her. He had sent her 11 letters this month. Charlotte opened the newest letter reading "Put the letter together then open" with a arrow pointing to a little slots.

Charlotte gathered all the envelopes and put the puzzle together. Each magazine cut out letter spelled out Outerbanks. Charlotte gasped at her sight

The curios girl opened her HP laptop which is what she could afford. She searched up Outerbanks learning where it was located and when was the next ferry. Charlotte grabbed the slotted envelope and pulled the ticket out. There it was right in front of her. A ticket to North Carolina. Charlotte jumped up and down as she pulled the ticket to her chest. She managed to cool herself down and searched for moving companies.

"Hello? Oh yes Rallo's moving? Yes I'm currently in California in need to move my things to North Carolina"

Charlotte was up all night packing suitcases, bags, and small bags. She plopped on her bed and balled up. She battled her eyes to not fall asleep but as her eyes failed.

CHARLOTTE POV:

I slid on my brown backpack and stormed out the front door rolling my suitcases

I slid on my brown backpack and stormed out the front door rolling my suitcases. Neither my dad nor mom were here so this was the perfect opportunity to get out of here. I helped the mover as we chucked suitcases into the moving truck. I payed him a extra 20 bucks to give me a ride to the ferry station. As we pulled into the ferry station I got out and got on my skate board.

I looked for the North Carolina ferry that finally caught my eye. I skated to the ferry stop and got out my ticket. "Ticket please.", A guard said while a stern British voice. I handed the heavy man my ticket and walked onto the ferry. Jax was nice enough to buy me first class tickets providing me with comfy seats, blankets, and free food.

I balled up in my chair while scrolling on my instagram which didn't have anyone but celebs. "Excuse me?", a lady with all white on questioned. She had a glistening pearl necklace with a white dress that looked like Queen Elizabeth could have owned it. "Yes?", I replied. "How old are you sweet heart?" "15 why?" "No reason", She said while shooting me a smile and returning to her seat. Weird.

Finally after 7 hours of  riding I arrived. I got up walking through the crowd clutching my skateboard to my side. As I looked around I saw a lot of boats and people running around. It was some where near Cali. Now all I had to do was find Jax. I looked down at the letter which the address was ripped down. Shit. I rolled my head back on the brim of tears. "Hey are you okay?", a voice asked. I turned to the right and saw a girl with a red top on. "No not really",I say while sniffling and wiping my tears. "Woah.. is there anything I can do to help?", she asked politely. "Do you know where I can find this guy?", I asked while pointing to a photo of Jax.

"Oh! I know him his Jaxine Rhett!",she exclaimed. At the name of Jaxine my face lit up. "Yea this is my brother!", I say while walking on the side of her. "Im Sarah", she said while shooting me a small smile. "Charlotte but you can call me Char", I say while returning the smile. "So this is your brother?" I nodded.

We walked up to a blue house that looked like a treehouse but bigger. "And here we are", Sarah said while coming to a stop. "Well I see my brother upgraded" Sarah let out a little chuckle as we walked up the brown stairs. "Hey do you maybe wanna come over one time and catch  a movie?", Sarah asked while picking at her nails. I nodded while pulling out my phone so we could exchange numbers. We exchanged numbers as I waved my last goodbye as she ran off. I took a deep breath and rang the doorbell. I heard locks click and clack until the door opened

"CHARLOTTE?", My brother yelled. "JAX!", I say while running into a hug. "Finally you mad it"
