What kind of hero do I want to be?

As I walk up onto the stage I step onto the first place podium I see Shoto on the third place followed by Bakugo on the second. Although he is heavily chained up clearly seething with anger

Midnight speaks through the microphone "These are the best and brightest of UAs first year class let's hear a round of applause for our top three competitors!"

The stadium erupts in cheers as I look around taking it all in. I look too Shoto who looks at neutral as ever but he turns to me and gives me a nod as I return the gesture

As the applause dies down Midnight speaks again "Now everyone please give it up for our final speaker the number 1 hero Allmight!"

The crowd erupts even louder than before as Allmight come up onto the stage "They asked me to tell you all what I think makes a hero a hero. And the answer is simple to be a hero one must put the needs of others above any of their own. That's what a true hero does" he says as the crowd cheers

'He's not wrong' I think to myself as I look over to Bakugo and my eyes widen as I see he's calmed down 'Maybe this got through his head a little'

"Now I have one final thing to say. Go beyond plus ultra!" He yells and the crowd erupts and the sports festival ends

Timeskip later that night

I sit on the couch as my mom finishes dinner "You did great today honey"

I smile "Thanks mom, part of me hopes today may have gotten through Bakugos head a little" I say as I look at the floor

"As do I. I know you'd never admit it but you miss having your best friend" she says as I still look at the floor silent and she sighs "Ok I'll leave it alone for now, come and get some dinner"

I walk over to the counter and see she made my favorite spicy chicken tacos and I smile "Thanks mom"

She smiles back and we eat dinner in peace

Later that night

'I know what mom said but I don't miss Bakugo I mean I miss having a friend to hangout with but I don't miss the person he became' I think to myself as I stair at the Celing above my bed as I roll over and go to sleep

Next day

I walk into the building still lost in though about what my mom said as I walk into someone and we both fall onto the floor

"I'm so sorry was lost in thought" I say as I look over to see Yaoyorozu I get up and extend my hand to help her up

"It's ok so was I. Good morning Vice" she says as I cringe a little. She notices this and looks confused "I though I pronounced your name right?"

I chuckle a little "You did but it feels odd being called by my last name" I explain

"Oh In that case would you like me to call you by your first name?" She asks curiously as I nod

"I would greatly appreciate that thank you" I say with a smile

"Ok in that case you may also call me by my first name" she says blushing a little

"Sounds like a deal Momo" I say as she blushes even more but I don't notice. I look up at the clock and my eyes widen "We should head to class Momo don't want Mr. Aizawa mad at us"

"Agreed I'd rather not have that happen" she says with a chuckle as we make our way to class

In class

As I take my seat Todoroki comes over to me blank faced as ever "Hey Todoroki what's up?"

"Can we talk later?" He asks surprising me a little
