Lilian's POV
I'm woken up by my alarm at 8am. I want to make sure I get to Officer Wilson's home before he leaves for work. He is working the afternoon shift so I should be there by 10:00 so that we will have at least 2 hours to put together all the information he has and discuss a way for the investigation to move forward without us having to communicate as much. Ryan also wakes up, he has insisted that he will accompany me to Officer Wilson's place. I wanted to argue but he wasn't budging.
I take a shower while Ryan is taking a bath, afterwards, I wear a baby blue dress and a pair of sandals. Ryan wears a jean and a baby blue t-shirt to match my dress. His on a mission to make sure Joshua knows that I'm not on the market. We have cereal and fruit for breakfast then leave the house at 09:25. I texted him in the morning that I'd come and he responded that I could come, the gate and door would be open.
We arrive in his very quiet neighbourhood. There is literally no one hanging around outside. It is better than Ryan's place though, we don't even have neighbours there. I get out of the car and pull the gate open. Ryan drives the car in and parks behind Joshua's car. He then steps out of the car and I lead the way to the front door.
The place is dead quite. I knock on the door then walk in even though there is no response. I shout out Joshua's name but there is no response. We walk around from room to room looking for Officer Wilson with no luck, until, we reach his bedroom. I freeze at the door, Ryan is right behind me. Officer Wilson is lying in a pool of blood on the floor, his body looks like it's been used as a punching bag by a wolf. I let out a gut wrenching scream and fall to the floor. No, this can't be real. Ryan tries to console me as I am sobbing on the floor. Just yesterday I had spoken to him, and heard his voice, and now. He was gone.
I crawl closer to him there is a note stapled to his chest, it reads {
If you seek the information of the snitch, your fate becomes similar to theirs.
Stop trying to dig up skeletons.}"Oh no, no, no, no, Ryan, this is all my fault, he's dead because of me, I killed him," I cry out. "Lilly, you can't blame yourself for this. It's not your fault," Ryan coo's. "If he wasn't helping me with my father's case, this wouldn't have happened," I sit there and whale for a while "Listen to me my dear, I am going to help you find out who did this, we will solve your father's and this guy's murders together. I can assure you that I will not let anything happen to anyone else that you love." Ryan proclaims. "I will make sure to deal with that person thoroughly." He further promises.
My heart leads me to believe him. I trust that Ryan is being truthful in his wanting to help me. We look through his laptop and discover the files on my dad's case and. I transfer them to a flash drive I found in one of the drawers and close the laptop. We also find a few hard copy documents that have to do with my dad's case and move take them. Ryan says that we can't leave evidence of my dad's case behind because once we inform authorities of their man down. They won't allow us access to anything and they may even see us as suspects in the investigation of the murder. It makes sense to me.
After we take all the necessary stuff and pack it in the car, I call Joshua's sister, her reaction to the news is heart breaking. She says that she is on her way, she lives just five minutes away. I had taken her number just recently when Joshua had added me to a call he was with her and introduced me, to her, as his girlfriend. When I cut the call with her, I call the police. Once Joshua's sister arrives, Ryan and I leave. I ask her to send me updates in relation to the investigation of his case and also his funeral arrangements.....
On our way I get a call from my sister, "Lilian mom got stabbed, she's in hospital." She sobs out. My heart falls to my stomach, why is this happening to me. I tell Ryan and he directs the car to the hospital. My sister hands me a letter , "the guy who dropped it gave this to me," she claims.
The note reads:
{Snitches get stitches}.Wait what? Joshua's note read that he was trying to get information from a snitch. Moms note leads me to believe she was the snitch. So she knows something? And she was trying to help officer Wilson figure it out? But why didn't she just come to me directly?
I'm really hurt by Officer Wilson's passing and it doesn't help that him being gone is partly my fault. His and my father's death will surely not go to waste, neither will them harming my mother go to waste. With the help of Ryan, I will make sure to find out and deal with the person behind all of this. They will pay for this.
When we get home I lock myself in my room. I need time to mourn my loss, and to plan... I want to make sure that the person who did this to me suffers, they took my father, then took Joshua and attempted to kill my mother too. It seems they are on an endless mission to harm me and now, I will make sure to harm them before they finish everything I love.
_hello♥️_
