Calling this a house would be an understatement because it was a freaking mansion or something! The huge iron collapsible gate was nearly broken.

He lowered himself and passed between the broken rods. The pin drop silence bothered him. He wanted to scream and ask if someone were there inside the mansion but given the fact there was no light and no other house in that whole freaking area made him believe there was no human trace in the said mansion.

Though he was freezed and flustered earlier that night but Damien is anything but a weak person, and as a medical student he doesn't believe in things that science denies. So he's more than happy to get a roof over his head for the entire night.

He made his way among the large and small bushes noticing the 'once used to be garden' became nearly a graveyard for the lack of care. After walking or more like stumbling and tripping over stones and bushes he reached the main door.

To his shock there was no lock on the door.
Still he knocked on the door, we can say he has some manners. After receiving no response from the opposite side of the door he banged the door open, not some good manners huh?

"Anyone there?" he shouted knowing he won't get an answer.
Now that there was no source of light inside the house, sorry mansion and expecting any would be nothing but stupidity, he brought his phone out from his pocket and flashed the light on. It showed 12:13 on the display screen.
