Y/N POV
Laughter echoes through the hallway, causing me to smile as I try to subtly make my way up towards the stairs, having successfully broken away from the large group that had congregated into the living room after dinner by giving the excuse that I needed to get some air. Thankfully Lizzie hadn't batted an eyelash, too engrossed in the conversations going on to really pay much attention to my absence, or that I'd spent the past five minutes with my phone shoved in my face.
The twins, who snuck upstairs a few moments ago, are waiting for me in mine and Lizzie's bedroom, and I give them a wide smile as I leave the bedroom door open behind me, knowing that Scarlett wouldn't be far behind since I'd also asked her up here as well. "Hey, sorry it took so long to get up here. I had to come through the kitchen since I told Lizzie I was going out for some air."
Neither one gets the chance to speak, because Scarlett comes barreling through the door, quietly closing it behind her and looking just as excited as I'm sure I do. The blonde practically bounces over towards me, looking very much like a child. "Did you show them yet?"
I shake my head, walking over to the closet and pulling out the item from its hiding spot before turning back towards the twins, holding the black velvet ring box up as I give them a smirk. "I already asked your mom, but are you two still cool with making me an honorary Olsen?"
The twins' eyes widen as I open the ring box and hold it out towards them, Scarlett climbing on the bed behind them to also try and get a look as Ashley gently takes the box from me. The three women stare at the ring for a few moments before all looking back at me simultaneously.
True to their twin-ness, MK and Ashley let out a loud squeal and throw their arms around me as I laugh, unable to move from how tight the two of them have me wrapped up. "I'll take that as a yes then?"
Ashley pulls away first, looking back down at the ring box in her hand, hand dramatically clutching her chest as MK joins her side. "Of course it's a yes! Where the hell did you get this ring?"
Still smiling, I perch myself on the edge of the bed next to Scarlett, who's making grabby hands towards the twins. "It was the ring my father proposed to my mom with."
The twins let out another squeal before handing the ring over to my best friend, who I swear is about to explode or something as she cradles the box in her hands carefully. "Papa Y/L/N had some damn good taste. I don't ever remember your mom wearing this ring, though?"
My smile fades just a little as I take the box back, fingers running along the satin cushion where the ring is nestled, ready for the day I'll give it to Lizzie. "She stopped wearing it after my dad's accident. Do you think Lizzie will like it?"
Scarlett gives me a sad smile, reaching around to wrap an arm around my shoulders and pulling me into her side. "Lizzie's gonna love it. Especially knowing how important it is to you."
Pushing down the sadness that comes with thinking about my father, I open my mouth to say something when the bedroom flies open and I panic, quickly hiding the ring box behind my back. Olivia peeks her head in, frowning a little when her eyes roam over all of us. "What are you all doing up here?"
Letting out the breath I hadn't realized I'd been holding- I seriously thought it was Lizzie walking in on us, I chuckle as I beckon the teenager into the room. "Jesus Christ, child! You scared the shit out of me!"
Olivia snorts, jumping onto the bed next to me. "My bad. But what are you all doing up here?"
I bring the ring box back around, watching as the teenager basically gapes at the ring. "No fucking way! You're gonna ask Lizzie to marry you?!"
