I called Tia's phone like three times no answer. "What?" I whispered to myself. "Why can't I reach her?" "Reach who honey?" I looked up at my Mom. "Tia." She tasted the soup she was cooking. "hmm." She stretched the spoon toward me. "Honey try this, it's my first time making it. I'm not sure if it taste ok." I opened wide and she put the spoon in my mouth. "Today is Tia's birthday isn't it?" She asked as I swallowed the soup. I nodded. "The soup tastes good by the way. What is it?" "She replaced the cover on the soup pot and began looking in the oven. "Chipotle Sweet potato Soup." "Cool , what's the special occasion?"

"Christie's boyfriend and Chris's girlfriend are coming over. Remember we talked about this?" "Oh, yea." "Mom, Zane is here and so is Marcie." Mom closed the oven with a slight bang. "Matt did you set the table for me?" "Yeah." "Ok, Um.." She dried her hands on her apron and looked around the counter. "Here, read over this menu for me tell me if it's okay." I scanned my eyes briefly over the menu.

Appetizer: Crab salad in crispy Wonton cups

Soup: Chipotle Sweet potato Soup

Main course: Shrimp Scampi Linguine

Dessert: Raspberry lemon drop Cakes

Drink: Shirley temple Cocktail

I nodded. "Sounds fine."

"Okay, now you have to help me to serve the dishes ok?"

"Sure." I glanced back at my phone one last time and tried to ring Tia on last time, I grunted in frustration as it went straight to voice mail.

In the middle of talking to Zane my phone rang. "Hello." I answered as I excused myself to go to the kitchen. "It's Justin. Is Tia with you?"

"No, she's not with you either?" "No man. She won't pick up her phone. I talked to Eun-Hye(Tia's mom) but she said all Tia said to her was that she was leaving she didn't say where." "Shit!" I was now confused. Tia and Justin were inseparable. I am shocked he doesn't know where she is. "Where are you now?"

"At the Mall." "Stay right there I'm coming." I snatched up my jacket and headed towards the garage. "Where are you going, sweetheart?" "Oh, Mom I'm going to meet Justin. Excuse me for leaving like this." Both Zane and Marcie nodded in understanding. "Bye mom, I'll be back later."

I got down to the garage, to see Shane down there. Shane was our butler. He threw me the keys to my car and opened the door for me. "Have a nice day, Sir."

He closed the door behind me and I was zooming out of my house and toward the middle of town where the mall was located. I pulled over right next to Justin who was standing on the sidewalk in front the mall.

He hopped in the front seat. "I already checked her favorite hangout spots and stores but she isn't there." I switched off the engine. "You sure she didn't say anything to you yesterday after the Game?" He shook his head. "Nothing, in fact we didn't talk until I dropped her off at her house and we said goodbye."
