Chapter 6

"Oh my!" Said Gela in shock.

"I can't believe you have powers!"

You see when Gela needed an accelerant to start a fire for the furnace I just used fireball to do so and it made their eyeballs pop out of their socket in disbelief.

"Ugh yea, did I not have them before?" I asked puzzled.

"No you did not! How is this possible?"

It was than I remembered the journal that I had found in the treehouse. It was basically the reason that I had discovered fireball.

"Actually I found this journal in the treehouse. I couldn't read the language written but I did understand one word..."

"Mana" the professor said sitameunosly with me.

"Yea how'd you know?" I asked perplexed.

"Mana is all around us, it's what gives me the ability to change the room setting that we're in with a flick of the wrist. It's only natural that you yourself have now conjured Mana for you to have blazing fire power. If you want to know more about Mana and the different powers you can conjure up than stop by the library for a read." They said.

"Wow you read my mind cuz that's exactly what I was gonna do lol."

I got up and gave the professor the journal so that they could study and decipher it but before I left they stopped me.

"Hey where are you going?" They asked.

"Ugh the library?" I said confusing myself.

"Hmm don't you have memory loss? You got up like you knew where you were going."

I stood their stupefied. Why did I get up? And why did I feel like I knew where the library was? Strange.

"But anyway did you forget about my powers? I can change the room setting we're in to the library so sit back down." They said.

I went over and sat back down lost in thought. And whoosh just like that I was in a library.

"Well I'll get going on updating the books and deciphering this journal you gave me. If you need me just yell." And with a flick of the wrist they were gone.

Six slithered over to me and I rubbed her tummy still lost over my actions from before. It seems like ever since I got here I feel different. Like I didn't feel this way when I was in that creature filled jungle so...what changed?

I decided to dwell on it later because the massive library that I was in immediately took all my attention. Wow there were rows and rows of books everywhere! I could tell that the genre of books were identical to the ones on earth. I saw horror, adventure, action, and history!

I walked up to the history book shelf and just grabbed the first book I saw. There was an area for me to read so I went over and sat in one of the comfy chairs. Six sat beside me as I read the first page "Long long long ago the first people arrived on a barren land. They built settlements as they got used to their way of life. They had many diverse kinds of people like elves, dwarves, and canaries. All was peaceful until an evil giant descended upon them.

The giant wanted to rule the land they settled on and everyone on it. It wanted all power and would stop at nothing to achieve it. The giant destroyed the homes and crops of everyone and killed hundreds. When all hope seemed lost, a hero arose from outta nowhere. No one knows where she came from or her background but what they do know is that she was the very first mage they'd ever seen. And her name was Silvie.

Silvie with her lightning and rock bending powers shocked the heart of the giant so hard that it fell to its knees. She than bounded the giant in rock and buried it deep inside the ground. Everyone cheered with relief that the evildoer was gone and before their hero left they thanked her by throwing a big celebration.
