I wake up drenched in fear, confusion, and sadness. My hand is oustretched as if I was still reaching toward the mysterious blinding bolt of light. My other hand was clutching on to the bed sheets concealing my lower body as if for dear life. I was breathing ragged heavy breaths as if I had been running 1000 miles with a broken heart. Cold sweat coated my body from the fear of loss. My pupils, dialated from colliding emotions. Sadness, confusion, and frustration all mixed together in the basin of my heart. I pressed two light fingers to one of my eyes and it came beck wet with tears. I wiped my eyes with my forearm and cursed. "Not again." I say, my voice riddled unstable emotion. I take a deep breath to stabalize myself and depart from the warm comfort of my bed. Thats the 15th time this month, I think. I lumber down the wooden creaky stairs and toward the bathroom with heavy feet. I look in the mirror to see a black haired and hazel eyed boy looking back at me. I begin running ice cold water im the sink. When I deemed it cold enough I cupped my hands under the flow of waters and brought the hand cup of water to my face. As soon as I felt the icy coldness come into contact with my skin my eyes widened and sharpened into focus. I gave the mirror a toothy smile, showing off my unnaturally sharp insizor teeth. "Alright Max you can do this!" I practically shout at the mirror with unbidled energy. I gather another hand cup of water and splash it on my head allowing my hair to glisten in the bright bathroom light. "Today's the day." I say with a smile. I decide to put on a black blazer with a white undershirt, a red tie, and gold buttons. I throw on some black slacks with a white belt and a chain leading from the first belt loop to the forth. I then put on my white red and black Polos. I take a brief look at my collection of anime necklaces. After what seemed like ages of pondering I finally decided on the Fullmetal Alchemist Pocket Watch. I give all my siblings good morning kisses and kiss both my mothers on the head while they are ensnared in the web of dreams that is sleep. I finally walk over to the front door and hesitate. Once I'm out this door there's no going back, I thought. I took a deep breath and smiled bravely as I departed from my home.

30 Minutes Later

The bus finally arrives at the magneficent Kaynor Tech Highschool. Besides from being a technical school Kaynor Tech isn't like all the other highschools. It's a place where everyone is nice to eachother. Except a handful immature kids who think chaos is fun. I bet you can guess whos on their hit list. Yep you guessed it. Me, Maxwell Scarlet, the anime freak. I guess you could call me an outcast or a rebel. I go against the crowd. I jump off the cramped moving yellow container and breath in the pure warm summer air. "Well, well today's the day." I hear a comforting familiar voice say. I turn to find my gaze rest upon a fine young girl. Mariela Jane, my highschool best friend. "I suppose it is." I say nervously with a smile. "Don't stress you'll do fine." She says giving an unnecessarily hard pound on the back. She has hair the color of hazelnuts just like my eyes. Her eyes are black like looking into the night sky. Today she was wearing a black turtleneck Kaynor shirt with khaki cargo pants ,a pair of black boots, and a purple and white frilly umbrella. "What is it with you and umbrellas?" I asked with a smile. "Well why do you like pocket watches?" She retorted with a smirk. "Bcause their cool." I say plainly. "Same reason." She says satisfied. We both laugh and proceed toward the enterance of the school. We entered the cafeteria side by side like true friends. The cafeteria is where all the kids enter at the start of school. It was quite spacious with a white and blue tiled floor and a circular section in the back left hand corner where the walls were replaced by glass as clear a as crystal. It always looked like as if we had stepped into the story of Cinderella and were in the ballroom where the mere peasant woman met the fine prince. Suddenly, Mari put a hand in front of me to halt my walking. "Wha-" I began to ask with a puzzled look. Mari cut me off by pointing out the irregular shadows protruding from the pillars. I gave her a hard look and nodded. "Come out we know you're their!" She shouted angrily with a snarl. The shadows moved and low inaudible whispers could be heard.
The shadows then got longer as if Mari had pulled a string and the shadows owners had revealed themselves. There were four guys all big and burly. Like apes. Their leader was a skinny black haired boy with a blood thirsty look in his eye and an insane smile. Jack Sickle, also known as Jack the Ripper. He got into this school with alot of fake smiles, handshakes, and bribery. Today he was wearing a black sleveless shirt with khaki cargo shorts and a pair of black and white boxer shoes. He bared his teeth in a vicous merciless smile. "Well, well what do we have hear? Nerd garbage?" He asked looking back at his group of brutes. All his cronies gave deep chuckles like puppets. My face was void of any emotion. "Step aside Jack." I said simply. "Not a chance after what you did." As he said this he unveiled a black left eye from his hair. I couldn't help but smile. "Well then keep your dirty hands off women." I said simply. "At least I can actually touch a girl unlike you." He said angrily. My smile vanished with that wound to my pride. "Ya know what we do to nerds like you?" He asked. My lips didn't move an inch. "We send em with all their little fantasy friends." He said malicously. His group of hairy cheerleaders gave some hoots and hollars. Jack then produced a pair of spiked knuckles. "Neat huh?" He asked while lacing his fingers through the holes of the weapon. "Time to teach you a lesson." he said malicously. I sighed in exasperation. "You want a fight?" I asked. I then pulled a cloth tied with rope on either end, and slammed it upright into the ground, causing a crashing sound to resonate through out the cafe. I undid the tie on the top causing the cloth fall limply to the ground, to reveal a traditional bamboo kendo sword . I grasped the swords hilt and allowed it to hang loosely by my side. "You'll need alot more than a threatening weapon to deter me." I say with a smile. Jack let out a growl and charges at me like a feral animal. I quickly side step his running right cross and push him. He stumbles and turns around with a murderous look in his eye. I simply look at him with no emtion. He charges once more like a wild boar. I side step him once again and give a small thrust into his leg joint causing him to slam into the ground. "THAT'S IT!!!" He screams with unbidled rage. He charges at me his fastest yet. I turn the bamboo blade away from him with the hilt pointing towards the angry boy. I grab the bamboo blade just above the cross guard. Wait for the moment to strike, I think to myself. Jack then launches himself into the air with a mighty jump. Jack was now inches from me. Time seemed to slow down as I thrusted the hilt of my bamboo blade into Jack's stomach causing him fall and double over, coughing and retching. I kneel down near him and say "This is over." I then gracefully stand up and join Mari in walking out. I am then jolted by a primal scream and look behind me to see Jack running haphazrdly toward me. Wait. He isn't focused on me at all. I followed his gaze until my eyes landed on.Mari who was now in a fighting stance. My eyes widen with a mixture of fear and pure hatred. I stepped in front of Mari quickly getting into a special stance. The blade was now pointed away from Jack but I had both hands on the hilt. As soon as Jack was in range of my blade I swang upward in between Jack's legs with such force it caused him to be sent flying in the air. I then quickly rose my sword in preperation to swing downward. The timing must be perfect, I note in my mind. Jack was now a few feet from the ground. My eyes widened as I swung my blade down onto Jack's chest causing him to accelerate into the ground. I looked down at him with pure hate. "Ancient Technique: Fallen Angel." I said with a calm that was scary. Jack was now beginning to revover from the. With one hand I pointed the iorn tip of the bamboo sword toward his hand and slammed down with malicous force. A sickening cracking noise echoed through the cafe when my blade connected with its intended target . Jack was now writhing in agony from his shattered hand. His group of thugs started forward. I gave the lot of them a look of feral rage and hate. They stopped in their tracks. I then turned my attention towards the boy on the ground who was now cradling his hand. "Can you hear me?" I asked with a look filled with enough hate to impress the Devil himself. He nodded obediently with tears now running down his face. "Then listen to these next words carefully." I said threateningly. A look of pure fear was now clearly evident on Jack's face. "You can hurt me all you want. You can break every bone in my body. You can even let me bleed to death in a ditch." I said, my voice now rising with every word. I now leaned my face inches from his, my breath now blowing the hair out of his face. "But if you even think of hurting my friends." I give a nod in Mari's direction. "I. Will. End. You." I say as I twist my blade deeper into his hand with every anger filled word. I then started walking with Mari trailing behind me, leaving behind the broken and mortified boy.
