Jazmin's Pov
I walk down the aisle in my cap and gown with a smile on my face. This is it. I'm finally leaving. I'm ready to leave. To get away and start fresh. I've made too many mistakes and I know it's not me.
My mother is cheering for me making her tongue ring visible. My brothers are screaming "that's my sister" or "you finally made it". You can see my old brother ,Antonio's, tattoos littering his arm and my younger brother, Christian's, glasses dangling off his ears clearly broken. My dad holds my twin baby brother and sister in both arms as they clap for me.
I feel accomplished. I'm only 14 yet, I feel like I just started my life.
"Jazmin Alinea" my name rings through the speakers.
I walk up the side steps of the stage with my heels clicking along with the claps of the crowd. I shake the hand of my principle and some teachers as they flip my tassel and I walk back down the stairs.
I'm no longer a middle schooler. I'm no longer a child. I've lost that long ago. I sit in the front row and crane my neck to the side. I see them. May, Kami, and Hope are so happy. I now know I didn't effect their lives in any dramatic way.
I won't see them next year and I'll miss the way they made me laugh and made me feel better. Next year I won't have friends like I plan and I will get through 4 years by myself. Catholic school will probably be the death of me but it'll be worth it.
The way out of my labrynth of suffering is hidden and quiet. That's my answer to Alaska's question in looking for Alaska. And maybe im another pudge aka miles, I'm looking for a great.
