Chapter 3

Ray's POV

I sat down on my bed and couldn't stop thinking about Norman. I don't want him to hate me. I love him. Suddenly, I remembered. "TODAY ######'S LEAVING!" I got up and ran to find Emma. I saw Don and Gilda standing in front of me. "Have you guys seen Emma?" They shrugged. "I think I saw her with Norman." Said Gilda. "When's Norman gonna confess to Emma? It's so obvious they like each other!" Don said. Norman's in love with Emma.. I'm an idiot! "Ray, are you okay?" Don asked me. "Y-yea I'm fine.. I have to go.. bye." I never had a chance. I can't believe I did that!

Don's POV

Ah, I see. Ray likes Emma too, doesn't he? That explains why he got all sad. I honestly didn't expect Ray to have a heart for anyone. "Hey, waita minute! Isn't today ######r's last day here?" I'm gonna miss her. "Yea it is, hopefully she writes to us. I'll miss haveing her around here."

Ray's POV

I'm gonna try to forget about Norman and his hot- I mean uh stupidly cute face! UGHH! This is harder than I thought. The way he looked at me, I couldn't tell if that was love or disgust. You know what, I'll ignore him all day. FUCKK! I WISH MY STUPID MOUTH DIDN'T SAY ANYTHING! IM AN IDIOT! "Ray?" I hear a voice say. "Can we talk?" I look to see Norman's face. "Uh.. I can't talk.. I have to go.." Norman blocked the door and pushed me to the wall. He held me there for a while.

He was breathing on my neck. My face started to go pink. "We need to talk, Ray" He demanded. Holy shit ahdhhshshe. "Okay sure" I said trying to act chill. "Ray.. you know about what happened earlier..?" I was embarrassed. "Yea I know it was stupid and you like Emma and"
"PFFF— YOU THOUGHT- YOU THOUGHT I LIKED EMMA? BAHAHA" he started laughing. I was confused. "Well yea, I did." I didn't know what he was trying to say. "NO NO NO! I DON'T LIKE EMMA!" he said. "Well who do you like then?" I curiously asked. "Well Ray, I like you." He said. He liked ME?! This whole time.. HE LIKED ME? "Uhh.. Norman.."
"Yes Ray?" "Could you uhh.. let me go?" He still had me pinned to the wall. "OH! Right." Norman said embarrassed and pink.

I felt like I was dreaming but this felt more real. We both sat down on the bed, like tomatoes. Norman was staring at his shoes. Should I make a move? I'm just gonna do it.. I held Norman's chin and kissed him. It was a kiss that lasted forever. But I heard footsteps and pushed away. "SHIT" I said.
"What is it, Ray?" Norman calmly asked. "CONNIE'S LEAVING!" I remembered.

Norman's POV

I'm kinda disappointed the kiss ended, but that doesn't matter. I don't wanna get adopted. I wanna stay here, with Ray, and Emma, and everyone else. I don't wanna leave them. I'll miss Connie. I follow Ray, feeling lucky to have him.

We found Emma on the way. "Hey, Emma!" I smile. "Hi Norman!" She seemed very cheerful as always. "Hey, Emma." Ray said. I couldn't help but notice something different about Emma. I couldn't tell what it was, but something was different for sure. I didn't know if this meant me and Ray were dating or not. I don't think we should tell anyone though. What if mother doesn't support us? What if the rest of the kids think that we're weird for being gay? I can't believe Connie's leaving. It's going to be so much different here without her
