"I'm scared, okay?" she screamed, tears running down her cheeks, along with the rain falling from the night sky.

"Scared of what?" he whispered to her. He was searching for her eyes, wanting so desperately for her to love him back.

"Scared of loving you," she admitted, her eyes finally looking directly into his. "I'm so damn scared of falling in love with you and then me being the one who gets hurt. I'm scared of the things that are bound to happen at some point," she whispered, her hand finding her wet hair.

"Alison," he said softly. "I know that it's hard. I know that you don't want to fall in love with me, but I can't help loving you. I love your long blonde hair and your beautiful blue eyes. I love your laugh and your smile. I love it when you look at me like you know something that I dont. You are addicting Alison, and I can't help but want you. I want every inch of your body to be mine. I want to be that guy who smiled down at his phone because he gets a text from you. I want to be the guy you trust the most. I want you to be mine and I want me to be yours. I'm sorry Alison, but I can't help but love you unconditionally," he finished, stepping towards her ever so slightly.

"I want to trust you Daniel," she whispered, looking into his eyes. "But I don't know if I can."

The hurt in his eyes was extremely clear. "Why?" he asked, taking another step closer.

"Because everyone who has ever told me that they were there for me, left," she whispered, pain and hurt obvious in her voice.

"Let me teach you," he said suddenly, his eyes brightening.

"What?" her voice was scratchy now, seeing as she has been crying for at least an hour.

"Let me teach you how to trust me," he whispered, only a couple inches away from her. "Alison, I promise. I love you more than anything in this world and I could do anything for you. I've been your best friend for almost a year now. Don't you trust me the tiniest bit?" he asked, his voice rigid. He was trying to hold back his tears, his pain for the girl that he loved.

"I do trust you Daniel, I do. But I want to make sure that this is right," she said. She wanted so badly to walk into his arms and stay there forever. But how could she do that? She's been hurt so many times by people who've said they love her. Why would this be any different?

She knew the answers to her questions though. They were there, deep inside. Then it just clicked.

"Because he truly loves me," she thought.

"Please Alison," he begged.

"Okay," she said.

With that one word, his eyes grew wide and his smile grew bigger than his face. She's finally giving him a chance.

He drew her in close, picking her up by her waist. She laughed into his shoulder and hugged him back.

"You have no idea how hard I am trying to hold back right now," he told her once he sat her down. They were in the middle of the street in the pouring rain, only inches from each others grasp. The close proximity between them made it hard for them to breath their own air.

"Then dont hold back anymore," she said with a smile.

His grin grew even wider and he picked her up again, this time kissing her passionately. He was giving everything he had into that kiss, showing her how much he truly loved her.

"I love you Alison," he whispered into her ear that night before they went to sleep.

"I love you too Daniel," she said.

A ft term quite some time, she rolled over to face him. "Thank you."

"For what?" he asked, dumbfounded.

"For teaching me how to love."
