Prologue: "Duck" Jaylen yelled, but I was too late. I felt the horrible sting of the steel bullet piercing through my left shoulder before I had realized what had happened. I'd been shot. The shot threw me off balance and I fell to the ground as my hand protectively gripped my shoulder and my vision blurred. "Jazzy, are you ok?" I tried to nod, but my head felt heavy a few seconds before everything went black.
