Chapter 3: Prologue - First steps against Humanity, already?

Wellspring is the largest City in all of Helheim, one of the worlds that Rimuru is currently on in the MMORPG Yggdrasil. Not only is it the largest but the capital City of the Kingdom that reigns over this Continent as the strongest Kingdom named Arcine.

At the same time it'll be the beginner spawn for a part of human players that will log in in Helheim in a few days. With its vast shopping district as well as living area and the Headquarters of the entire Adventurer Guild it'll be at the same time the City where the richest and skillful players stay.

That's at least what Ciel predicted, making Rimuru excited to see it.

Rimuru POV

It has been some days since I went on my way to the City called Wellspring On my way I was able to level up 3 whopping whole levels. You might think that's pretty nothing, right?

<<Ciel you're kidding me,right? I would need to kill over hundreds of same level monsters for the next level?>> I said frustrated

<<It's the truth danna-sama, but aren't the prices worth the hardship?>> She answered with a smug face

<<Well you're right about that>> I answered

Shadow Clone is the skill I got as I incested one of my level points into the Job Class Shadow Assassin as the name basically says I can summon a Clone which can work as a perfect spy or fighting partner or anything else. It has the same skills that I have and it is basically a second me. Ciel has control over it so that It wouldn't do anything I don't want to but she won't intervene with any situations it is facing.

<<This ehem.. second me sure is a great help>> I said

<<Danna-sama is experienced in those kind of skills after all... never doing you paperwork on your own>> Ciel suddenly said

"Wow it sure is a big City in the Cardinal World I would say only Tempest is bigger than this and that in its finished state" I said surprised while it did remind me of Ingrassia with its huge walls all around the CIty.

<<3 to 10 million per server are expected after all>> Ciel mentioned

'Yeah there was that thing with the players, right? What should I do it's only 4 days till they will come' I thought while I started walking towards the City

<<You said they'll spawn in that and other Cities across this Continent, right?>> I asked

<<That's correct>> Ciel said nodding

<<So where do those players spawn that choose to be a monster instead a human?>>

'Somehow I got a bad feeling about all of this...' I thought but quickly deleted that kind of thoughts out of my head for now as I was standing in line for entering the City Gates. Somehow it reminds me of that time in front of Dwargon.
