(Written before 3x10)
There was nothing she could say.
Nothing she could do.
Courtney watched as Cameron and Rick fought each other.
Her heart was screaming at her to go stop them, but she couldn't.
She felt completely frozen in place.
She watched as Rick started to choke Cameron.
She pushed herself off the ground and leaped over the railing that blocked her path.
She ran to Rick, trying to hold back tears as she yelled at him to stop and shook his arm as hard as she could, trying to pull him away.
But he shoved her away, sending her flying into the wall.
Cameron managed to get away from him and send him flying onto the ground.
Rick landed in the middle of the staircase, breaking it.
"Cameron!" Lily, Cameron's grandmother yelled.
"They killed your father" she said.
Courtney felt her heart breaking into a million pieces at those words, knowing that Cameron would most likely hate her after he knew.
She watched as Cameron stared to use his powers again to kill Rick.
She mentally punched herself trying to get up and stop him.
But thank God Cameron's grandfather walked in and stopped him.
The next few moments were a blur.
Cameron's grandfather had a heart attack and Beth tried to save him, which worked.
Courtney stumbled over to Rick, still pretty injured.
She barely made it to the staircase before she heard Rick speak.
"Courtney. I'm sorry" he said.
She looked at him, still unable to speak.
Cameron looked at her with many different emotions.
Confusing, anger, sadness, relief, and fear, was all she saw.
She looked back at him and their eyes met.
She immediately knew things wouldn't play out well.
Nothing would ever be the same again.
And it was all her fault.
