Chapter 4: On The World Stage For First Time

Back in 2005, Ronaldo and his national team have to against with Russia on world cup qualification. Before the match start, he have to accept his father death. His father death because of alcoholic and that why he never drink alcohol.

Portugal managed to qualify to World Cup 2006. Portugal were on group D together with Mexico, Angola and Iran. An easy Challenge for Portugal. Ronaldo first goal in World Cup was in the second match, Portugal vs Iran in group stage. Ronaldo took a penalty kick after Hossein Kaibe made mistake. Ronaldo succeeded to score his first goal in World Cup.

Game after game,  Portugal succeeded went to Round of 16 and them have to against with Netherlands, The Battle of Nuremberg. This match had many yellow card and red. The both side look likes didn't gave up to go to another stage. Score still 0-0 until Ronaldo teammates scored an only goal in this match. In minute 34, Ronaldo can't played anymore because of many takleh towards to him. He then switched with Simão. Until the last minute, scored still 1-0 and made Portugal to Quarter-finals.

Portugal had to face with England in Quarter-finals. Match started and both team made fast attacked but can't made a goal. Ronaldo also almost made a goal but goalkeeper England block the shots. The first half end and still not goal created by both team. Second Half started until minute 61. Roneey, Ronaldo Manchester United Teammates accident hits Ronaldo teammates elbow and made that foul. People think Ronaldo told referee to give Roneey red card and saw Ronaldo winkled to his teammates about that. Then match biased for England but them can hold the Portugal to Extra time. However, both team can't created a goal. Match had to do penalty shot. First Penalty kick scored by Portugal then England but them can't scored. Kicked by kicked, Portugal look likes can won the match. All hope in Ronaldo shoulder, if he scored Portugal will went to semi-final. Ronaldo kicked the ball and made them went to semi-final.

One step closer,Ronaldo just need to facing France and won the match to go to Final stage. Match Started, Ronaldo with fast move tried passing France defenders and gave to his friend and almost made goal. Time after time, both team were created chance to score it but miss the chance. Until minute 32 His teammates made foul inside the penalty box and referee gave France a penalty kick. For a second people who were supporting Portugal were stop breathing after Zinedine Zidane scored a goal for France.

First half was end, Portugal just needed to comeback. Them have time to win it. However, scored still 1-0. Portugal can't made goal even Ronaldo. In the end of minute Ronaldo had to end his World Cup 2006 on semi-final. His will never gave up to achieve his dream.
