I feel like such a bad mother, I'm speechless. How did that son of a bitch get out? One way or another I am coming back and helping Nevaeh. She doesn't know this but her Father and I were in a gang, that's part of the reason why he died. I just don't want her to end up like he did, I felt useless once her father died.. When Jackson died I promised myself I wouldn't let anyone hurt my kids and I'm still keeping that promise to this day. When we get to Nevada I'll have to tell Nevaeh everything.. Just so she understands. I'll get some of the old crew to help, I'll do anything and everything just to keep her safe.
"Mum?" Nevaeh says softly.
"Yes sweetie? It's around 7 in the morning now, do you want to stop for breakfast?"
"I think that's a great idea" I say lightly smiling. I look back at the twins and they are watching a movie.
"Babies do you want so breakfast?"
"Yes please mummy." They say with their cute grins on their faces. I chuckled and got out of the car once Vaeh parked.
I saw Nevaeh open the boot and grabbed something from out of a bag under the blankets. She slyly put it in the back of her jeans. I know what she's got. I smile at her and she mirrored my action and closed the boot and looking the car.
"Okay guys this looks like a nice diner." I say and they all agreed.
"Hi how may I help you?" An elderly waitress says.
"Hi table for four please"
"Right this way, I'll be back with you menus." 2 minutes later she comes back and places our menus down in front of us.
"I'll be back in a minute to take your orders" she smiles.
"What are you boys getting?" I heard Nevaeh say.
"We aren't sure yet, everything looks so yummy!!" They excitedly says. Nevaeh giggles and says " well guess what, you boys can have anything you want because I'm paying" she winks.
The boys were over the moon, the excitement in their eyes was so precious. I haven't seen that since we were all one happy family. I smile at the memory and look down at my menu. Mm a stack of waffles sounds good to me.
"Nevaeh what are you getting?" I ask.
"I was thinking of a chocolate m&ms waffle stack with a caramel Latè and you?" She says looking at me.
"Chocolate and banana waffle stake and a mocha" we both laugh.
"Sounds good mum" she says.
"Yeah, it does doesn't it" she nods.
The waitress comes over and takes our orders. The boys finally chose what they were having. They got two stakes of chocolate chip waffles with chocolate dressing and a strawberry milkshake for Luke and a banana milkshake for Jake. My children will be the death of me. I love them so much.
Nevaehs p.o.v*
We left the diner around 8 o'clock and we have been on the road for about 2 hours now. So it's 10 o'clock on the dot. We have been driving for 5 hours now and we'll we have five more hours, maybe more depending on traffic.
I turned the stereo on and Wolves by Allday came on. Oh yeah my jam!!
"Mum this guy is the best!!" I say turning it up. She looks at me and laughs and goes back to what she was doing.
