I was nervous the entire drive home, thinking of the sound of my pull-up crinkling and one of my friends hearing it. But we made it home without me having any problems. When we got home, my dad was packing the bags for his and my mom's trip. The reason I chose to have a sleepover this weekend is because my parents were going out of state for the weekend to a work convention.
So me and my friends watched TV until my parents were fully packed. My dad took the bags outside to pack the car, while my mom came to talk to me and my friends.
"Okay girls, while me and your father are gone, there is to be a few ground rules."
Me and my friends started to listen.
"One, you cannot leave the house unless Summer texts me or her father first."
"Two, there are no other friends here. Summer, while me and your father are gone, only Zoe, Ava, and Emma are allowed here."
"Three, don't open the door for anybody we don't know."
"And four, don't answer the phone unless it's me or Summer's father. Is that understood."
"Yes," I said. "Yeah," Zoe said. "Yep," Emma said. "Yeah, it is," Ava said.
From outside, my dad honked the car horn. "Honey, let's go!" My dad called from the car.
"Okay girls I have to go now. Summer baby, I love you very much. And have a good time. We will be back Sunday night at around midnight. If you want to, Zoe, Emma, and Ava can go home and grab their backpacks and stay the night Sunday as well."
"Okay mom. I love you too." I got up from the couch so I could go say goodbye to my dad. "Bye dad!" I called. "Bye baby!" My dad called back. "Okay mom, goodbye." I said as I hugged and kissed my mom goodbye. "Goodbye baby, see you Sunday night." My mom waved goodbye and closed the door behind her. Now me and my friends were officially alone when I saw the car leave the driveway, and drive down the street out of sight.
I was worried as I went back to my friends, worried about telling them about my pull-ups. But I knew they were understanding, and mom told me to be strong. So I decided I would tell them about it as soon as I went back upstairs.
