A/N: Hi!!! I know this might seem strange but I just hated the characterization of Movie!Ron so much, so this is me fixing that. It does have slowburn friends to lovers Ron x Harry (I'm going to need a ship name for them) and loads of Ron dragging the movies and the characterization. A lot of these lines are lifted directly from the movie. I don't own Harry Potter (though I wish I did) the movies or the books. I hope you enjoy!!!
Ron was not quite sure where he was. He had been walking out of Platform 9 and ¾, and now he was walking to it.
He wrinkled his nose in annoyance at his clothes, which were nothing like anything he'd ever seen before.
"Absolutely packed with muggles of course!" Said a voice next to him and Ron blinked several times.
"Huh?" He grunted, looking around. He was pushing a trolley down King's Cross Station. He was wearing absolutely on point with muggle fashion, according to Hermione.
"Mum, can I go with them?" A high pitched, annoying voice asked.
Ron took his Mom's distraction to look around covertly. He saw Harry trailing just behind them, looking very un-Harry like. His hair was flat and not at all messy, for one thing. His eyes were also blue. But the clothes were too big, and Hedwig was in a cage. And the scar. That wasn't Harry's scar. Harry's was a real lightning bolt that spread over almost his entire forehead. This looked like something you'd draw.
He sighed and looked ahead.
"Excuse me, miss-" said Harry, and it wasn't quite Harry's voice.
"Hello," said Ron, cutting off his mother. "My name's Ron, Ron Weasley. Are you going to Hogwarts too?"
"Oh, yes."
"Well just go through to 9 ¾." Ron pointed ahead. "Just go through the wall."
"Oh." Harry looked at the wall nervously.
"Wanna go through it together?" Ron asked, tilting his head.
Harry nodded and Ron led the way, Harry following himself moments later.
"Not as bad as you thought?" Ron asked, smiling calmly.
"No." Harry admitted.
"Yes." Ron ran a hand through his hair, a habit he had picked up recently. "Well, I've done it quite a bit and I still sometimes get freaked out."
He waits, almost instinctively for Fred and George to tease Percy about his being a prefect. But... it doesn't come.
He shrugged and made his way onto the train, surprised when Fred and George didn't come out to talk about meeting 'Harry Potter'. He waited a few minutes, then looked at Scabbers, crinkling his nose in distaste.
Sighing, he made his way down the train, looking through the compartment. EIther this was a very, very, very strange dream, or he was somehow in the past. And possibly another universe, if all the small edits were to be believed. I mean, Percy looked so stupid, and not at all how he did in his fifth year.
He finally made his way to the compartment Harry was in. It was a different one than the one beforehand. Harry was sitting in it awkwardly. Figuring it couldn't hurt, he coughed lightly. "Hello. Mind letting me sit here. Everywhere else is full."
Harry looked up, surprised. Ron almost frowned. But instead gave a hesitant smile. He sat down when Harry gave him the go ahead and sighed.
"So, what's your name?" Ron knew how Harry felt about his fame, especially as a kid.
"Harry Potter." He looked down, obviously expecting the normal reaction.
"Cool. My name's Ron, Ron Weasley. Nice to meet you. Are you excited for school?"
