midway through our hug, he begins to laugh. my face scrunches up a little as he pulls away.
"so you do still love me, huh?" he asks, smiling as if hes accomplished something. my eyebrows furrow.
"what? no.. nate i dont-" i shake my head, but he cuts me off.
"bullshit, iris. why are you crying? because you feel sorry for me? or because you realised that loving me whilst youre with chris is a fucking terrible thing?" he lets it out. im stunned. when i dont reply, he laughs again. "heres whats going to happen. we're gonna go back to yours, and act like we're together. you need to fool everyone." he says. my jaw drops a little because why the fuck would i pretend to be his girlfriend?
"what the fuck is wrong with you? no way am i pretending to be in a relationship with you-" i argue back.
"so you wanna stay here iris? i could keep you here for even longer if i wanted to. youre lucky im even feeding you." he points out. his expression has changed from a broken guy with no father figure to pure evil.
"nate please dont make me do this. please. im so happy with chris and if you really loved me youd let me be with him just please dont do this." i plead to him, hoping that somewhere inside him he would feel sorry for me. the look in his eyes changes for a second, then they go back to normal.
"oh yeah? and where were you when i needed you iris? you were with him. whilst i was beating myself up every single fucking day about losing you, you were with him. now you get to feel how i felt. and so does he." he says with pure rage in his voice. i look at him like i dont even know who he is anymore. anger, fear and sadness has covered my face.
"killing two birds with one stone." a voice from behind him says. i turn my head only to find stella leaning on the door frame. "its an amazing revenge plan, is it not?" she says, proudly.
"amazing? you fucking kidnapped me you idiotic bitch!" i yell at her whilst running up to her about to punch her, but nate holds me back.
"watch youre mouth." she says before walking out. i let out a breath and finally process whats going on.
"your move, iris." nate says as i refuse to make eye contact with him. my eyes begin to water and my head lowers.
"before we do this i just wanted to let you know that i fucking hate you with all the might i have. i hope you rot in hell." i tell nate before i unlock my door. i hold in a breath before pushing the door open, already seeing chris running up to me, and then freezing once he'd reached me.
"good to be home, right ris?" nate smiles and pull me closer. i try my hardest to give olivia a look that makes her think that somethings wrong, but im being forced to smile.
"ris.." chris starts. i say nothing, but nate squeezes my hand tighter, wanting me to.
"dont call me that." i tell him as my heart breaks into pieces watching his do the same.
"what does he mean home?" chris asks, everyone eager for an answer.
"he'll be staying here from now on. you guys gotta go somewhere else." i say, looking everywhere but their faces. olivia begins to yell at me some more and rome is stood in shock. matt and nick look absolutely fucking pissed. i feel like shit. im about to lose everyone i love because of this fucking asshole who thinks he loves me. "ive made up my mind." i reply to olivia, unable to look in chris's direction. then nate does the one thing i hoped he wouldnt do. he kisses me. kisses me. i try to push back midway, but he doesnt let me go. my brain is all scrambled. i have no idea whats going to happen and i dont think i want to know. once i finally mange to pull back, they all look at me in anger. "iris are you being serious?" chris asks sadly. i could hear the heartbreak in his voice. i hesitate before i answer. i look at nate who glares at me with a look of pure hatred and evil. i gulp a little before finally meeting his eyes. "yes." it almost comes out as a whisper and i regret saying it because once i do chris scoffs at me before saying, "fuck you." to my face. and then he leaves, everyone following him. as soon as they leave i push nate away harshly, and i begin to realise he really does hate me. "you. i hate you so fucking much. get out out of my house." i yell at him. "i dont think you wanna do that iris-" he begins, but ive had enough of his manipulative ass. "oh i think i fucking do. get the fuck out or i swear to god ill call the cops nate. leave." i shout in anger as i let the rage overcome me. he glares at me, as he licks his lips before chuckling. "fine. my work here is clearly done." he laughs. i grab the closest glass i could find and throw it at him. he obviously doesnt expect it because after he dodges it he looks up at me, eyes wide. "iris i-" he starts, but i just grab another glass and throw it at him. "jesus alright! im leaving!" he says as he walks out of the door. as soon as he leaves i let out a shaky breath and immediately grab my phone.
