During class, Lui always passed notes to Shu. Lui was overprotective of Shu, Shu had his mind on suicide. Lui wasn't gonna let that happen. Shu opened the note and in Lui's handwriting it said:
You're beautiful like always! ♡
Shu smiled at the note and he wrote back. Shu passed the note to Lui and Lui opened the note and it said:
Thank you, my heart! ෆ
Lui blushed and smiled at the note. The boy's have been caught handing notes to each other many times, but after Lui had a private talk to the teachers about the notes and Shu, they understood and they put Lui and Shu in every class together. It was lunch time and Shu got picked and made fun of. However, Lui saw Shu and started cussing out the people who made fun of Shu.
Shu: Thanks Lui! For protecting me!
Lui: Anytime, bae!
Shu kissed Lui's right cheek, and Lui blushed.
Shu: My hero!
Shu rested on Lui's shoulder and Lui comfort him.

Days passed and people continued to make fun of Shu. Shu couldn't control it anymore. When the boys were reading a book, Lui passed a note to Shu. Shu read the note:
Don't leave me, Shu! You're not alone! I'll always love you!
The note made Shu cry a little. Shu covered his eyes. He can't handle the bullying anymore, yet, he didn't want to leave Lui. When Shu reached home, he lost it. He was tired of the bullies, bad grades, loneliness in his house, and bad luck. Shu dropped a glass plate and he cut himself with the sharp broken glass. His mom came from work and saw the bloody body. She screamed and called the ambulance. The ambulance were on their way and they picked Shu and his mom. His mom was in tears, she never knew that she was going to see a bloody body in the evening. Lui was buying flowers, he didn't knew about the accident. He was walking to Shu's house, but Shu's mom called him. She was explaining the incident of Shu and Lui couldn't believe it. Lui sprinted to the hospital.
Lui: He can't leave me!!!
Lui continued sprinting and the people saw him. He was in tears and all he could think about was Shu. What if he doesn't make it? Lui told himself. He reached the hospital and looked at the nurse in the counter. Lui asked if she could see Shu Kurenai but the nurse said he'll be able to visit him, soon. Lui was in the waiting room, impatient. He needed to know what was happening to Shu. A little later, the nurse allowed Lui to visit Shu. Lui felt nervous, but he wanted to see his boyfriend. Lui opened the door and Shu looked at him.
Shu: I'm sorry!
Lui: Babe, it's okay!
Shu: I'm weak!!!
Lui: You're not!
Shu: You always have to protect me and I don't give you anything back!!! I'm a terrible boyfriend!!!
Lui: You're not, Shu!
Shu: But?
Lui: You gave me something: Love!
Shu: I love you, Lui!
Lui: I love you more, Shu!
Shu hugged Lui and Lui hugged back.
